How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

created a double bed with 2 single bed, room was so dusty, my all clothes got dust on my every single stay, room was airless, no bath slippers, water was leaking somewhere from shower while having shower on my every single stay, toilet needs a proper door, check out time was 12 now 11, once I wanted to extend my staying from check-in desk and they offered higher price than booking, it's not fair..

Room was not clean, it was rusty. Lights were broken, safe was broke, bathroom leaked, curtains were ripped and dirty. it was just very bad.
Breakfast was the only thing i liked.

Hotel room needs some updating. Drapes were broken and the carpet gave the space a musty smell and irritated my allergies. lamp shades had water stains. Place need some cosmetic care. Bathroom was cramped with a tub and the shower head in the middle which made manuevering difficult. Water was everywhere after each shower. Maybe they should consider removing the tub and just having a shower.
Breakfast and restaurant were great. Lots of choices for breakfast and food at the restaurant was great as well. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Rude staff throughout stay. Short, dismissive, did not smile. Was not allowed to check in until 3pm on the dot, queue of guests formed all waiting for check in while reception staff sat around. AC did not work, when we spoke to staff at reception about the unbearably hot room we were told to turn AC off as it blows “hot air” (it was March and over 22°C outside). Advertised as having soundproof rooms but our room had a (locked) door leading into another guest’s hotel room, through which you could hear every single small sound. Felt very intrusive (and the other guests kept pulling on the door handle which rattled in our room). Our safe did not work on arrival, we asked at reception for someone to please reset it (took 5secs) and were repeatedly dismissed and told that staff will come in “5-10mins” but waited hours and did not get this solved until the next morning. Due to “issue with the system” our key card stopped working one night into our stay, we were then told our documents and proof of check in were not on file. Staff asked to re-photocopy our passports and to see the receipt of us paying city tax. We don’t know where the original photocopies of our passports went since they were “lost” and not on file - potential data safety risk.
For the price the room was a decent size, hotel location and area was convenient. 30+mins from city centre by bus which is not super reliant but the area was quiet and bus stop was close to hotel. Clean room. Free wifi. Luggage storage.

No tea and coffee facilities had to order room service all the time. Also shower flooded the room so had to use all the towels. Drains stank, blinds didn’t work properly I had to fix them because they got jammed all the time. Carpet stained and wet from shower leakage.

They assigned me a very small room considering that I paid for a larger one. There was also a water leak in the bathroom of the room and it was annoying to sleep with that noise

Room with black long air of someone else Broken blinds. We booked a room with a double bed, which in the end was two single beds put together and were pulling away fro. Each other Non working TV Bathroom you could not close door Front of the house personnel not the best. They kept us on check-in for very long time at night to record documents despite this was not necessary to be done on the spot and we had a very stressed 3 year old late at night Bed for third person was very small and badly laid up.
