How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Thin walls and some fairly noisy guests during my brief stay. Linens are quite rough and bed basic. Staff make up for any quibbles.
Staff are wonderful, incredibly charming, pleasant and helpful. Great location, pretty good breakfast.

Internet was far from perfect.
Easy access to the hotel, quiet location with no tourist crowds, room on the top floor with a bit of sea view, relatively easy parking in the street nearby. 20 mins walk to the old part of Scilla and the beach. Good breakfast.

Double room a little tight on space. Next time take a triple even if only two of you. The extra space is worth the little supplement in price.
Basic b'fast included which is more than some places. Excellent service. Owner extremely helpful with advice and local input. Family run hotel. Good wifi.

Everything was really good. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but we still slept really well
Wonderful friendly hosts and great location. The balcony was great to sit outside and relax. The Italian breakfast was good too.

Very comfortable, easy walk to square and elevator to beach and fishing village. Only 1 cafe nearby meant a 5 minute walk each day. Staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast was a good selection .

Beautiful little hotel on top of the cliff of shore and in the middle of the town. Close to hotel there is nothing special to see, but in walking distance in the center of town is a beautiful view to the sea and lift down to beach area where are restaurants and all activities. In fisher area of town are amazing seafood restaurants. Room was small, a bit old stylish, but clean and nice.

The room on 3rd floor with a sloping ceiling made the room feel small and you needed to be careful to not bump your head on the lower part.
Location is good, bed was comfortable and nice views from the balcony. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great with plenty of options. Lift was very handy for luggage. Parking is available outside the hotel in the surrounding streets and in the park opposite.

Shower was a bit iffy - the doors didn’t close properly, the tap was very stiff and the water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold
Good location for exploring Scilla, there is free parking in the streets outside the hotel, walking distance into the upper town and then there is a lift down to the beach level 1 Euro per person - well worth it - otherwise there are about 300 steps

Great spot in beautiful Scilla. We only stayed one night but would've been happy to spend much longer here. Nice breakfast out on the terrace and a short walk into town & the beach.

No balcony lights. Door jams needed repairing as swelling and rattling at night.
Staff were very helpful in arranging free transfer from the train station. On check gave lots of helpful advice on things to see and do. Breakfast was lovely.
