How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower room is too small. While taking a shower, the light will be turned off automatically if no one is in the hallway for few minutes.

It’s location is a tad bit far but not bad and you can’t access rooftop after checking out.
The people you meet - it’s a fun hostel. I also really liked the toilet system with manyyy showers available!

Our room was very hot so air conditioning would have made our stay better.

The lights in the bathroom werent great and the breakfast wasnt so good.
Excellent location and worth for the value. The bedroom was very clean and the balcony was beatiful

Beds and upstairs bunk doesn’t move or bug you. Staff is great and breakfast included - ham, bread, coffee and croissants. Although dorms have a lot of people it is very spacious. You can train bus or walk to Sorrento centre. I’d recommend

It took a bit to get used to not having a toilet seat on the toilet also Getting a vacuum jammed into my bed and sheet thrown on me while I was having a post hike nap at 4pm was really frustrating.
Very close to Sorrento and the beach, an amazing view from the rooftop bar (5 euro bottles of wine, cannot go wrong) Beds where comfy and breakfast was great.

I booked a 10-bed female dormitory but was put in a 12-bed one, which I didn't realize until I left. The bunk beds were not like the ones shown in the pictures but more spartan with the lower bunk bed so low that you can't sit straight in bed. Small locker that fits only a small backpack. Very incovenient bathroom. No toilet seats. No hooks or shelves in the tiny shower cubico.
Marvelous rooftop terrace with sun beds, for that I'd give ten stars and put up with the rest. Near the train station. Friendly staff. Good value.

- very less options in included breakfast. There were no eggs etc. - Sound insulation in the rooms are not that great. We could hear people talking loudly in the next rooms at 3 in the night.
It was good place to stay for the cost I paid. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom in our dorm didn't drain properly so the floor was very wet after anyone showered. There seemed to be a lack of seats on all of the toilets. There was no bin in our room or in the bathroom.
The location is convenient for both bus and train travel, and the price is better than we could find elsewhere in Sorrento. We didn't have long there but appreciated the breakfast and the rooftop terrace looked nice.

Not a cosy hostel- bland decor, very big and airy with very high rooms although many people would maybe like that. It didn't help that it was unusually cold for April and with no heating in the building (or innefective due to the high rooms) it felt even less cosy. The toilet/ shower block was quite a distance from the dorms if you needed to get up in the night though it was well equipped. I'm not sure it can be a proper hostel if it doesn't have a kitchen or a communal fridge or even a kettle to use. Because they have their own bar and restaurant it's not allowed to bring your own food or drink in and the bar is not exactly budget price at 5 euros a big bottle of beer compared to 1.35 in the supermarket, though the restaurant was resonable price.
they accepted my request to reserve a bottom bunk in advance wich not everywhere does. Interesting concept in an old convent with a big bar and restaurant. Location ok as in between the coast and the town so both are easily walkable, as is the railway station/ bus stop. Free breakfast was good enough especially considering the price of the whole package

Nothing to complain really. Around the hostel there's not much to see but it's just 2 km away from Sorrento so for the price it's great
The staff is very friendly :) They made me feel welcome from the first moment I entered. Also the hostel is a nice looking place with its patio and rooftop. I loved the music in the patio❤️ They serve a good breakfast (included in the price), apart from that you can buy a dinner for an affordable price. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

The bed was too short for 1.8m men. The breakfast was very basic but sufficient. Mosquitos very vicious blood thirsty bastards

Showers were great in warmth and pressure but tiny cubicles with no hooks or shelves inside, also the sensor lights would go out during the shower if not many people about.....advise using a shower opposite the (frosted) window for natural light.
Great location about a 10 min walk from the station, very comfortable beds with some privacy and a good sized locker. clean rooms and bedding. Great breakfast included.

Male bathroom was pretty terrible and did not feel especially clean, no toilet seats on the male toilets. Location was a bit out of the main town.
