How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional B&B, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Eugenio is amazing; I couldn’t even imagine someone so kind and helpful. An additional plus was the excellent internet connection and facilities, making it perfect for both vacation or work time. Highly recommended!

We arrived very late art the airport about 1.30am and our host picked us up for a small fee which was great. The apartment was a good size, the bed comfortable, good shower and breakfast supplied.

Amazing place with incredible host! After a little problems on the airport we could count on Mr Eugenio who was waiting for us. He explained everything and was in the contact with us all the time. He made sure we have everything that we need. The apartment have an unique vibe and you can find inside everything necessary. For me location was perfect – quick train and you are in the centre of Bari. You can rest in a quiet neighbourhood. I higly recommend and I hope me and my fiancé will be back here soon!

The flat and the space are great, the train station, supermarket, bakery and tasty pizzeria are not far away. The host give excellent information about Bari and other cities and is very helpful. Thanks.

I would say that for the price, and the opportunities around, it’s a fair value for money, so you pay for what you get. Don’t expect 5 star hotel, but instead a fully equipped apartment.
Practically is a full flat with all the things you might need available for you. it is located in a quiet building, calm surrounding and pretty close to the train station as well. Big pluses to mention, the coffee machine prepares a great coffee and very responsive and attentive owner

You can't see/do much in Palese but there is a train station very close from the flat so you can easily catch a train and go to Polignano or Monopoli.
The best host I ever had! He welcome us immediately after we arrived (we arrived a bit earlier than planned) Eugenio gave us tips and recommendations what do to and where to go, he also gave us a ride to the car rent agency and he waited to see if everything goes well with the car agent. I would say he is exceptional! The apartment was fully equipped and clean, a lot of books and antique furniture inside! Very cozy place, we love it. Strongly recommend to visit The Architect! :)

The only minus was localization. It was quite far from the centtre of Bari, however the whole coast is well communicated.
The apartment was bigger than we expected and living there for a week in a group of 5 people was comfortable, which is hard to achieve. But the best thing was the contact with a host, who was really caring all the time. I do recommend booking this place!

Absolute pleasure staying here! Beautiful and cosy accommodation, the host was extremely friendly and lovely, even went out of his way to pick me up as I missed my bus. Everything was perfect, highly recommended!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. The host is very nice but it doesn't make up for the fact that we were woken up by workers working inside the property just outside the bedroom window. We felt we didn't have any privacy. The gas was cut off and we couldn't shower. The space itself it's just like the pictures, no surprise there. But the breakfast was disappointing. There was food left behind past the expiration date.
Very nice host. Easy to park.

This accommodation is an old, private flat. it was totally crowded with personal belongings. Even in the bedroom and bathroom. Every spare inch is covered with furniture or things. It is an extremely noisy living environment from other private flats around, till very late at night. There was late night banging going on as if someone was building something directly across. Others threw glas bottles into a container making them burst noisily. The floors were very unclean. There were hairs everywhere, including curly ones. We had to sweep the bathroom floor to feel able to walk in there. It made us feel very uncomfortable. We did not use the shower hose in the bath tub. The toilet takes ages to clean out the basin and one has to wait very long for the water to fill up in order to flush again. Not a nice situation if you need to get to the airport. The old, rickety bed has an extremely old and very uncomfortable mattress, to make it worse there were buttons on the sleeping surface digging into the skin. The mattress is hard as a board and the whole bed frame wobbles around noisily if one moves or turns in bed. The pillow is thick and hard like a wooden block. I did not sleep at all the whole night and was worn out in the morning. My partner slept tossing and turning from the discomfort. There is no kitchenette to wash the cup of coffee, it had to be done in the small bathroom basin. Anyway, a very unfortunate choice and far too expensive for what is on offer. We really regret our choice. We feel some major effort needs to be put into this un-quaint 50's flat getting it suitable for renting out.
Host, an older gentleman, was welcoming and helpful.
