Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesTwo Words: Stay Here! You won't regret it. As others have mentioned, it is quite the hike up a very steep hill to get to this place in the neighborhood of Minuta, the hamlet of Scala, overlooking Ravello and the ocean. Incredible views of the ocean, but you cannot walk there so if you want a spot right on the ocean this place is not for you. However, if you want million dollar views, surrounded by fruit and olive trees at one of the highest spots in Scala, then this place is for you!. There is parking nearby and we never had a problem finding a spot. The room came with TWO private terraces plus a covered outdoor eating areas and the same gorgeous views from our room window as we got from the terraces. The hostess was extremely helpful, even helped us with our luggage up the flights of stairs. If you have a car, which we recommend for driving around the amalfi coast, then this would be a stunning place to enjoy your time if you like privacy, and views for miles.

United KingdomThis isn’t a criticism just a warning to anyone who struggles with walking. There are I want to say approx. 120-140 steps that lead to the property and another incline walk if you need to go to Scala bus stop. This was okay for the most part for us but anyone who struggles with mobility or fatigue I would not recommend as peak heat during the day climbing those steps can be very difficult.
First of all I would like to mention the owner, Benedetta, and the effort she put in to make our stay comfortable and smooth. She helped us with our luggage up the steps, made sure we were aware of everything and promptly messaged back if I had any question regarding the area or the property or even regarding buses etc. She was lovely and for that reason, a massive thank you for helping my friend and I on our first girls break away. It couldn’t have been better! Secondly, the property itself is beautifully designed, simple and spacious with the authenticity of the area. It sits on top of a hill showcasing a spectacular panoramic view of the town of Ravello and is tucked away allowing that extra bit of privacy. It has a terrace and garden area for evenings/ mornings and sunbathing. It’s equipped with all necessary kitchen and bathroom facilities. Comfortable bed, TV, towels, washing machine in which she left us cleaning supplies as well and the building itself is modern and minimalistic. The area (Minuta) felt safe to us, and the locals are all very lovely and welcoming, even when walking back late at night we never worried (coming from 2 girls) about the streets or alleyways as the area is quiet. Overall we had fantastic trip staying in this property and would definitely recommend to stay here. It’s a beautiful place and this property elevates that so much.

NetherlandsWe recently had the pleasure of staying at the Little Tower of Minuta, located in the scenic heights near Ravello on the stunning Amalfi Coast. Although reaching the property involves navigating about 130 steps and a brief walk, the effort is very well rewarded. The house itself is recently renovated, and very beautiful, with a décor that perfectly complements its historic charm. The panoramic views of Ravello, the beautiful Amalfi Coast whit its small villages and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea are truly breathtaking and offer an wonderful experience. The property is very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, with a lovely musical atmosphere and attention to detail. The owners are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to ensure a memorable visit, adding a personal touch that really makes a difference. This stay stands out as one of the best experiences we've had in Italy, a country we've explored extensively. For those willing to walk the steps, the Little Tower of Minuta is a highly recommended stay to experience the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.

GermanyIt was incredible beautiful. We wanted to say longer. Next time we will definitely book and stay at the little tower. Benedetta was so lovely and always there for us. The only thing missing was maybe an extra blanket for using it outside so you can sit longer on the beautiful terrace at night time and some candles. Also for sleeping some real blankets would be great. Otherwise all perfect. We loved it!!!

HungaryThere was a musty/moldy smell at the second floor in the house, which could be a problem to people who are allergic to it.
The view was breathtaking, the house was modern and lovely, we loved everything about it. I did not realize that you have 130 steps and more walking just to get home. I saw in the comments but thought only if you don't have a car. But it turns out even if you have a car you have to walk because cars can't get near to the house, if you are there, you'll understand why. This was not a problem for us, but I can imagine for some it could be.

GermanyMust go 150 steps up by stairs. Good training)
Amazing view. Amazing terrace. Fotos are real. New hause, very comfortable, cozy and clean. Very good kitchen equipment. I called the owner and informed at what time we come, so they met us and helped with lugagge. We spent one week in this house. The house is in a small village. 30-40 min to Amalfi by bus or 1 hour go down by stairs) 15 min to Scala city center where you can find supermarket and cafe. The bus stop is near house, but there are more buses in Scala. Owner gave us the bus schedule. We walked also to wonderful Ravello (ca.30-40 min) and came back by bus. From Amalfi we took a ferry to Positano, Maiori and Capri island. Very nice place.
