How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Next time It will be great to see the slippers in the apartments. Felt the lack of them.
Great stay in a cozy apartments. Clean and convenient. The kitchen was also useful, it was almost always without other people. The district is absolutely gorgeous, with a lot of useful infrastructure around: restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets.

Bathroom was tiny. Curtains are a bit light so in the morning you wake up early
Nice location close to Vatican and castle st Angelo. Free use of the kitchen, coffee and tea facilities. It was clean and the owner was friendly and responded quickly (although we didn’t see her at all during our stay)

My friends and I loved every corner of this beautiful place! Our room was comfortable and super tidy. The location is perfect, very close to mostly anywhere in Rome. It is mainly close to the Vatican city and Castello Sant Angelo - they're just 15 to 20 mins by walk. On our first day we also walked to Piazza Di Pietra and Pantheon. One can also opt to use the bus - the bus stations are 1 min away. Apart from these logistics, what we also loved about this place is the warm welcome from the owner Manuela. She's super nice, kind and very helpful. She suggested to us places to visit and where to eat nearby - and we're very happy we took her suggestions. We also messaged her very late in the day to suggest taxis and she immediately answered. We're so grateful for her help. Another imp note to add - Tinker Bell is located in a very safe area. I highly recommend this place!!!! Thanks Tinker Bell especially Manuela for making our holiday in Rome magical ❤️

The host was outstanding, the location was great, 7 minutes walk to the metro station, there was coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, markets nearby, also the apartment was clean and comfortable. I had a great stay here.

Perfect stay at Tinkerbell guest house. Well located near the Vatican and the Ottaviano metro station from where you can go to visit all the extraordinary treasures of Rome. Manuela was very helpful and kind

An old place, looking and feeling like a hostell. No hot water. One had to wait for 30 minutes and the water was still warm. When we reserved, I am sure I chose breakfast option. No breakfast was provided although it is a b and b. Then they changed it in Booking, I guess because no people. Only coffee we did not touch. No cleaning available, they ask and then don't show up....No place to put your things. Small tiny bathroom. Smelly building. Wonder what kind of people like the place.
The location is what made us choose it. The mattress was comfy, but it was moving on the metal "bed". It was quiet, but we were alone in the so called bed and breakfast.

Great location - very close to the Ottaviano metro station and the Vatican Museums. Our host Manuela was helpful in every way possible and she recommended us some really nice places to eat and visit. The room was very clean and the shared kitchen fully equipped.

We really enjoyed our stay at TinkerBell! The room was spacious and clean, and the location of the B&B was perfect. Our host Manuela was also super nice and really helpful. She gave us a lot of recommendations on places to see or to eat, so that was great.

They asked us to pay for the room although it was already paid for. I had to show the confirmation from Booking.com. Then the woman thought we were there on the wrong day and I had to prove that it was not the case. In the very small room of ours there was a necklace and foil from a toothpaste thrown in the bin. When flushing the toilet some water hit the shower.. Few pieces of hair in the shower and a red mark on the curtain. The kitchen was shared and you served yourself, making the coffee (in the dirty mocca-maker) etc. For the price, we wished for more. If you want a romantic stay, I recommend you to consider other options.

Nothing to complain about, really. Just a note for other travellers: We came by car and got a few suggestions for parking around the flat. We decided to go with the more typical version for northern Europeans (closed parking with a ticket at the Mercato parking) but the braver ones can try the more classical italian version where you leave your keys with the car to the garage owner. Both are available within 200-300m from the flat.
A beautiful room in a beautiful flat. Manuela did a great job organizing and decorating the place. We particularly enjoyed the air conditioning, the shower, and the possibility to store and cook our food in the kitchen of the flat. Manuela also gave us great suggestions for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants in Rome. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Rome.

Breakfast could be a bit more diverse.
Everything was great! Host was super fast to respond to any questions we had. She was almost like a tour guide and let us know what we should see in Rome. Room was new and clean, had AC, everything you need! :)
