How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The air conditioning did not work and when we opened the windows, it was too noisy to sleep.
Central location to Piazza Navona and area. Easy access to to local buses and close to coffee shops and restaurants.

Eggy smell coming from bathroom; staff only around at certain times so tricky to work out a time to pay the city tax which needed to be in cash; not the most comfortable bed; couldn’t make the aircon cooler so was really hot

The location was amazing. Close to touristy things but far enough away that you could find good shops and restaurants that were not tourist traps. It’s in a cute old building. The room was ok but needs some updates. The bed was not comfortable at all. The staff was amazing and super friendly and willing to help!

The place is very close to attractions. A clean place and we were 3 people and fit perfectly as the room is very spacious. A shared kitchen, and the owner peovided us with coffee for the whole stay. They also accomodated our check in time and we also could leave our luggage there on the last day as our flight was late in the evening.

You must to wait like 5 mins to start hot water and there is no high water pressure.

The cleanliness level could have been higher and I would feel much comfortable if the hotel provides slippers to their guests.
The location and the interest and supportive approach of the staff was excellent and this is why I would consider staying again in this property if I re-visit Rome.

There’s not much I didn’t like - everything was really comfortable and clean. The room also seems to be well-insulated from the outside noises (street traffic, church bells, et al).
The property is centrally-located between Vatican City and other major sight-seeing attractions in Rome (Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.) so it’s an easy walk to anything you want to see, but is also on a major street which makes catching the bus or taxi very easy. The building itself seemed to be fairly secure with several keys and keypads that each need to be unlocked for entry - so as a solo traveler I felt quite safe. The folks who operate the property are extremely helpful and responsive through WhatsApp. I would absolutely consider staying here again.

There is no identification on the front of the building or on the buzzer that Club Navona is inside or what floor it is on.I just buzzed other occupants until someone answered and they told me it was on the 4th floor and buzzed me in the front door.I was not provided with any of this information in advance. The reception desk is manned only a few hours each day so if you arrive outside of that time you have no ability to check in.
The location is central and walking distance to all the main sights.The room was spacious with high ceilings and large windows.The staff was very accommodating , getting me milk for my coffee and arranging a taxi for me to get to the airport early in the morning.Once we figured out how to communicate with What's App he responded quickly to any requests or questions. The street the hotel is on is very busy and noisy so windows have to remain closed at night to allow sleep.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and central to all attractions. Travel to train/bus terminal was easy and from there to Rome Airport was very convenient. No need to taxi at all.

The windows are not sound proof, so getting a quiet night sleep was tough. Also the water wasn’t coming out of the faucet which is not cool when when spends so much
The building was gorgeous! The rooms were nice. Location amazing. Free water bottles provided which was nice both sparkling and flat.
