Cabins can get a bit hot when door is closed, but there is air con in the corridors outside the cabins so we ended up sleeping with the doors open a little.

Friendly staff, cheap and tasty meals available, including a packed lunch. Very close to Petra so you can just walk there. Chill environment and friendly staff who were happy to help and chat. Great value for money. Very clean too!

Before I arrived, I have some questions so I tried to contact the hostel by sending messages via Booking.com. But the hostel set an auto default reply. No matter what I asked, the hostel sent me the same default reply, which was not helpful at all. Finally I found their whatspp number and I received a reply from them. The breakfast was quite expensive, 5JD, but everything in Petra was expensive, so it's ok

The bathroom was so clean! Thumbs up to the cleaning lady!!

No kitchen area to use.

I love the individual cabins and that the hostel has signs to be quiet! As a traveller who likes to get to bed early and wake up early for activities I apreciated the calm.

we stayed at the Petra Cabin Hostel for 2 nights and we had a great time. All staff were lovely, they upgraded our room and they provided both breakfast and dinner for a small fee. When asking them for an exchange of money, they said the rate they had wasn’t good for the Australian Dollar so they advised us where to go, which was the best we got the whole time in Jordan! Short walk to the Petra gates but we drove, it’s uphill so after spending a whole day inside Petra, I didn’t want to do more hills!

I loved my cabin although the screen that pulled across provided privacy but not security as it didn't lock. That said I felt very safe in the hostel and small lockable cupboards were available in the cabins. There is a curfew at night and we arrived a couple of minutes late and thought we were locked out! (Someone eventually let us in)

The Hostel is only at a walking distance to the visitors' center and the entrance to the Petra Site, easy check in, Wifi, Free drinking water, showers and and clean beds in Wooden cabins that have a shutter door.

The receptionist always wears a smile and is very polite and helpful. The dormitory and restroom are also very clean, as if there is a man cleaning at all times. I like the privacy here

When we got there and we saw the building we were scared since it is a bit “ugly”, but as soon as we get in, everything changed. Really nice staff and clean hostel. They gave us an upgrade since they had extra rooms. Super close to Petra visitor center. Nice restaurants close by.

on booking.com it said it has shared kitchen, so I thought it is like other hostel that we can cook, but actually you can’t cook. note that It is on 4th floor without escalators, so you have stairs to go A lot of “patch” work in the toilet, some shower hose is broken, some are leaky, so when you are out of the shower, the water is everywhere. Some proper fix goes a long way.

The main perk of staying here is the hostel provide extra services with great value. For example: snacks and drinks are much cheaper than the shops outside (Petra shops selling stuff at very expensive price). They also offer great package to Wadi Rum at a very good price. They also have laundry service, but note they don’t have dryer, so you can’t get your cloth back very soon if the weather is bad. In terms of cabin itself, I think it’s comfortable and toilet is clean, there are 4 toilets and shower, and I don’t really need to wait. they also provide free towel. The buffet and dinner is also good value for money. Never forget the hostel location is very close to Petra visitor centre.

The staff can seem a bit abrupt, and the hostel doesn't have a particularly social atmosphere.

The pod beds are quite comfortable and private, and the location is great - very near the main entrance to Petra. I had breakfast and dinner there, both were very tasty and with really good variety.
