A fantastic place. We were upgraded and the hotel is paradise in Kenya. Easily one of the best places we have ever stayed anywhere. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, including the reception staff, the housekeepers, the security guys, the chefs making delicious fresh food including delicious fresh mango juice and huge fantastic breakfasts and the incredibly charming waiting staff. We really felt looked after, the location is incredible and the beach is pristine. This is a true paradise! Thanks so much everyone at Mwazaro.

We had an amazing time. We were upgraded and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Mr Jeremiah the manager was very welcoming, Ana on reception was great, the chefs made delicious food and the waiting staff were always incredibly charming and friendly as were the housekeepers. We were able to arrange great local tours including a local walk and a river tour. The food was fantastic, the beach pristine and beautiful. It is paradise! Thank you so much to everyone at Mwazaro!

We had a delightful stay at the lodge. The property is located in a secluded area, right by the sea, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and exceptionally comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean. You can watch the sunrise from your room and end the day enjoying the sunset from the rooftop bar. The food and service at the restaurant were very good. You can do a variety of day trips, visit the local community and have onsite kitesurfing lessons. The staff is exceptionally friendly, always smiling, and genuinely eager to assist with any requests. Their hospitality and attention to detail are outstanding. The sand at the beach is a bit muddy but this is what allows the Mangrove trees to thrive, creating a unique landscape. We highly recommend staying at Mwazaro.

There’s nothing i did not like the only constructive feedback i can give is that the establishment should have leaflets or brochures detailing all relevant activities both in the local area and in the lodge.

The staff were fantastic especially the room cleaners. We we stunned at how our rooms were kept clean and fully stocked throughout the day.

There are mosquitos at night and we did not use the provided spray thoroughly enough on our first night so got bitten then. We figured it out from the second night. Hopefully some good advice for the next travellers.

A wonderful place, our eyes really lit up when we arrived and saw how it looks and feels in reality. Beautifully located, secluded, great layout and facilities, fantastic friendly staff. We went in January, when the monsoon wind makes for really pleasant temperatures from noon onwards.

The place is super pretty and a lot bigger that in the photos. Staff were so friendly and make your stay memorable, especially Sammy was really friendly and helpful. Food was really good. There is the Mwazaro village next to the hotel and in the afternoon villagers will come to the beach which I loved to see. Also how they do fishing during day I enjoyed it. Some of the staff are also from the village and if you talk to them they know a lot and can even take you to the village. I wanted to check out late and I could stay until 13:00 free of charge which was also nice of them. It was an amazing experience, if I travel there I will go thete again. If there was air-condition or net for the balcony doors then you couldn't ask for anything more.

Just one tiny suggestion: providing body lotion in the bathrooms (besides the shampoo and shower gel already provided) would be great.

The atmosphere here is super peaceful and calm. The rooms and the whole property are very beautiful. The staff was extremely nice and attentive and made me feel warmly welcomed. The beach is completely quiet thanks to the remote location of the accommodation. Pick up from Mombasa was offered. It was the perfect time for me to relax, though they also offer activities (boat tours, village tours, etc.)

The environment was so serene. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The beach was not crowded at all and we could just enjoy our stay in peace with no disturbance. The team was very friendly and always eager to offer assistance and comfort.The food was also very good and the cocktails too!we enjoyed trying their recommendations. On our first day,we arrived earlier and after we informed them,they had no problem at all. Infact after we arrived,we got another villa as we waited for ours ti be cleaned.The hospitality we got from Mwazaro was out of this world.We would recommend this place to everyone wishing to relax and feel free. We will definetly be back,God willing. Thankyou for making the days we had there great Mwazaro !

At low tide there is a 300 meter walk to be able to swim in the ocean, but that is also charming since the water is quite calm at high tide. Also quite fascinating to walk the sea bottom for so far during low tide.

I loved all of it. A quiet and very relaxing resort with really friendly staff of Tino, Sammy, Millie, Rufus and all others who always makes you feel like a friend every day. I had a problem with getting a lot of mosquito bites so bring repellant!!! Apart for the mosquitoes everything was great 👍

Would have loved to see more seafood on the menu. The dishes are excellent but we would encourage them to diversify — the chef made delicious calamari at our request, would recommend you add it to the menu. We really enjoyed the quiet — sometimes the staff played music, would recommend checking with guests first because the sounds of the ocean and breeze are so wonderful.

The lodge is set in a breathtaking location on the beachfront amongst the mangroves. Every detail of the place is well taken care of and well thought. The design of the rooms and bungalows is wonderful, and the rooms are aired by the beachfront breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - we can commend all of them and in particular manager Rufus, cook George, Sami, Asthman and Aisha. They made sure we had the best stay. We loved the food - the breakfasts are amazing - and would recommend asking George to cook a seafood platter with fresh fish caught on the day. We also much enjoyed kayaking at sunset amongst the mangroves and relaxing with a drink by the pool.

The location is stunning. Staff go out their way to be helpful and friendly (especially Milly). Food is excellent, best breakfast in whole of Kenya.

Can't think of anything - just keep in mind that you're not in Diani which is a plus for me but may be a negative for people looking to go clubbing.

My partner and I stayed at this lodge for 3 nights and we really loved it. We wanted to avoid the crowds of Diani and were happy to find this lodge: it offered the comfort you would expect in a tourist place, but situated on the beach in a lovely village close to the charming fisherman's town of Shimoni. We enjoyed taking the bodaboda through the village and the snorkeling and dolphin watching around Shimoni / Wasini Island and the owners are currently setting up more activities like kite surfing. The lodge is relatively new and the owners put a lot of care into rebuilding this place. The staff was friendly, the food was nice and we felt well taken care of. Would definitely recommend and hope to be able to come back!

Leaving! 🤪

The place looks amazing. It’s been freshly renovated with a lot of taste and they put a lot of effort into making it simple yet elegant. The staff make you feel at home and are really helpful. Breakfast was everything we could’ve dreamed of. We spent 2 entire days hanging out and didn’t get bored thanks to the view, the pool, the kayak, the hammocks, the chess and table football games. Would 100% recommend for a relaxing stay, out of the agitation from Diani or other mass tourism destinations.
