The pillows were quite hard and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Not having a fresh water swimming pool. The room fridge was quite dirty inside.

The staff were very attentive and friendly! The place was quiet and relaxing and the spa was lovely!

Beautiful property! Food is just ok. Staff are not very attentive, you have to really make an effort to order food or a drink.

Paradise resort with an annoying generator.

The generator was unfortunately running for my full visit. For anyone that dislike a constant noise of a huge generator, this is inconvenient. It disturbs the general experience of tranquility and peaceful nature. It should not be a big thing to relocate the generator to the entrance and get it away from the rooms,

Fantastic paradise bubble, right at the creek. Staff is just excellent. An absolute A for staff performance. Always helpful and with a friendly smile. Temple Point is one of the best places I stayed at in Kenya. Big area with a lot of space. Cool monkeys.

The menu for evening meal was very limited and could have provided more options.

The buffet breakfast was very good, offering a wide choice of food and beverages.

They didn’t let me take my own water to the room. Initial excuse was a ban on plastic, but when they saw me refilling my reusable bottle, the manager told me straight that it was because the hotel needs customers to pay for extra water (2 bottles/day are provided for free in the room). The attitude of the manager lost me as a guest: they earned a few € for the water, but lost a few hundreds of € on my following stay in Watamu, as I chose a different hotel. It’s not about a few €, but about the attitude of the management. Just to clarify: the rest of the staff were all extremely kind.

Great location, right next to the creek, with direct beach access. Multiple convenient facilities available, such as restaurant and gym.

    - Rooms are dated and small - Water flowing out of the shower drainage - Food a-la-carte is horrible, we couldn't finish our meals. Avoid the inhouse restaurant.

+ Great location + Family friendly + Dog friendly + Free entrance to Litchhouse (the best restaurant around) + One of the best massages on the coast + Breakfast is good (don't order a-la-carte though)

Restaurant a la carte could be less slow. Breakfast at KS 3000 for a buffet is just too much. You can order a la carte for KS 800 - which is the better deal. Organizing activities could be better: I ask for yoga next day and they say can be booked only 24h before, should get up early and ask the yoga teacher if there is space nonetheless. Why not coordinate by the hotel? Same for snorkling: ended up going to another hotel. If Temples captain is not free why not organize for the guests another one or point them at where they can book. Small stuff, but if this was better, would be a 10

Really well decorated facilities and nice comfy bungalows. I could have stayed much longer. Access to small but (feels) private beach with a nice bar and beds. Great value for money.

I was looking forward to experience the lichthouse but my experience with the staff wasn't good. On the first day, we were served with fries from the last day, and king prawns that were not fresh. I complained and requested to speak with the in-charge to no avail. The staff (except Pendo) weren't friendly or helpful at all. The prices ere also too exbortitant.

I loved the location, the ambience and the meals at the main restaurant (not at the lichthouse).

I expected much more of the rooms, they are quite old and could use a lot of upgrades. The room cleanliness can also be improved. Overall didn't like the rooms.

The staff are excellent, great service and friendly faces. The main restaurant is really nice to chill at and use for work, the wifi is very good making this a perfect choice for people working while on holiday. The restaurant area has a good ambience during the day and night. The hotel is right at the beach making it perfect access and Lichthaus bar is right there for a sundowner

The hotel is old, but problem is that isn`t well maintained. All the sounds from the next room could be heard. The neighbor coughed regularly and it was very disturbing. Some of the lamps in the room didn`t work, cabinet drawer handles were broken, some lamps in the territory are broken -these are small things that do not require large investments. Breakfast was poor and overpriced for such an offer, cheese plates empty, salad bar too, no fish.

We like Lichthaus bar at the territory of the hotel. The room was clean, bed clothes and towels had been changed every day. Bottles of water were replenished daily.

I did not like the room assigned room 1D ( it had partial view of the ocean but far from many things ). The pump above the room constantly hummed with funny “coughing like sound” as well the room was quipped with all the toiletries except lotion. I was disappointed to forfeit booking at Hemingway that could have offered breakfast for Temple point. The staff that attended to me are absolutely lovely people. The staff ushering guest at the Lichthaus needs to be trained on sensitivity “theories of isms” being singed out when white guests aren’t and asked twice in a row by the same person “whether I am guest at the hotel” while the white guest that I was with isn’t asked and somehow need to pay the entrance fee was impulsively annoying but also implying that somehow I possess distinct inferior racial characteristics, financial inabilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish me as incapable of being a guest at Temple point

In general, the hotel is expanding and building new structures like yoga place and a very good place for a stay in Watamu —-but I’ll reconsider my choices next year because of breakfast policy. The swimming pool is lovely as always and the New Fitness in an open space is well equipped and modern and I enjoyed working out. Rooms are stocked with water and variety of tea and a pot. Easy access to Lichthaus. Bed was comfy with many pillows.
