Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs with other reviews I feel the resort needs some TLC. I got the feeling that it had been closed for a while (or maybe recently changed hands). Repairs and maintenance were being done whilst we were there addressing some negative comments from previous reviewers. We were staying in room 3 and also had the mummified gecko in the bathroom blind (if you roll it all the way down you'll find it). The bamboo screening in the outdoor bathrooms (which I loved but my partner didn't), is rotten at the base. Looked pretty bad The sun loungers near the beach are decrepit and require replacement. The spa is an open hut with two massage beds in it. People in the restaurant can watch you having your massage
This hotel is set on a perfect beach that is well maintained by the staff. 20 metres in either direction the beaches are littered with plastic so it's great to see that these guys cared. We had an issue with the door to our room not being secure which was dealt with very quickly by resort staff. The staff on site were very friendly and happy to help with any requests. The food available was a lot better than neighbouring resorts. There were excursions to do, I would recommend hiring the moped and going for a tour around the island, it doesn't take long to get to Sok San beach which has a bit more going on and gets the sunset If your goal is to sit on the beach and relax and switch off then this is the place for you. Beautiful beach, 28oC sea temperature.

United KingdomStunning location, perfect for rest and relaxation by beach or pool. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff are all exceptional and always happy to help. Food fantastic and varied with decent prices. A highlight was the Plankton trip at night - an unforgettable experience. At the time of our stay the weather was wet but still had a great time. The team are especially helpful in organising boat/taxi to and from the hotel.

United KingdomOverall we loved it, however would suggest that the beach and sand areas of the resort could be cleaned / tidied up. Housekeeping were a bit hit and miss and it didn’t look quite as nice as in the photos! But this are small points that didn’t take away from an otherwise great stay.
We had a very relaxing stay at Anaya. The beach and the pool were lovely. it was very peaceful. Food was tasty The staff were really kind and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and loved the outdoor bathroom.

Everything, it was my best holiday stay ever. Because of covid there was literally no one on the first day so we had the whole hotel by ourselves and the staff were very very friendly and welcoming! I still can't believe the amount of luxury we had with the price we paid.. amazing..

United KingdomThe location was spectacular and on a beautiful quiet beach that is heaven! The thing that sets Anaya apart from the other hotels on Koh Rong are the staff. My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and the staff could not be more helpful or friendly - particularly Vong on reception who helped us sort everything we needed, including transport to and from the resort, which was a little complicated for us! He was lovely to chat to and really elevated the experience beyond the destination!

United StatesThe bathroom was a little funny. Unfortunately, during our stay it rained. The rain was a nice warm enjoyable rain except the bathroom had no roof so when in the middle of the night you had to pee you did it in the rain then had to dry off before returning to bed. I thought it was funny, and like I said it was a warm rain.
The white beach was amazing. And I can't say enough about the staff they were beyond helpful meeting requests before I even asked. REALLY the staff was that good. The rooms were clean and open and the food was so good, the cooking staff even cooked some crabs we caught they were so great.

AustraliaFor paying quite a bit more than the average hotel we were expecting a higher standard. Linens and chair in our room were stained. Door was covered in dirty fingerprints. Small details like that which make you feel it’s not quite a high quality resort. We understand western standards are different but we’ve stayed at places for half the price that have been taken better care of. Restaurant was the biggest let down for us. Overpriced for average food. We wanted to stay at the resort, relax on the beach and not move. We would have happily eaten all our meals at the restaurant, however the meals we did have there were so disappointing. Two nights we opted to skip dinner rather than have to hunt for a new restaurant or eat another disappointing meal. That’s how unappealing the meals were. Instead of being spoiled for choice for breakfast we struggled each morning to choose something that would be enjoyable.
Location was beautiful, the beds on the beach, restaurant and pool were beautifully presented. Loved the atmosphere of the resort as a whole. Cannot fault the staff with their welcome and smiles trying to make our stay wonderful.

United KingdomThe wifi is so bad! I stayed at another hotel in Koh Rong and the wifi there was perfect, so not sure if it's the remoteness of the island. Since the wifi is bad, it would be nice to have a tv in the room at least. The room was empty- there was a bed, a closet and a chair and just ample of space. It would be convenient to have a long bench or a side table or sth, as all our clothes and bags were spread on the floor (the closet didn't have much room as most of it was the mini bar) The bathroom was fine, but the faucets and shower-head were old and rusty. I washed my socks in the sink and they turned orange from the rust of the tap.
We enjoyed our stay, staff and owners were lovely. I think they are renovating some of the rooms and we might have gotten a bad one. Food was really nice!! The best fries. Private location which we loved.

United KingdomFirstly, the restaurant menu is fairly limited, which suited us as we felt this would mean the options on offer would be fresh. This suited us less, however, when on all bar one of the evenings we dined there we were unable to have something we had chosen from the menu. We ended up eating in the Secret Garden resort after several disappointing evenings at Anaya where we were offered both variety and freshness without fail. The resort is fairly tired and a fresh paint job and some TLC ref the woodwork would elevate guests’ experience. There was a large pile of waste material that featured in our view of the beach for the duration of our stay too. The WiFi was worse than that of other more remote resorts we stayed at on the islands and was impossible to use once a new influx of guests checked in at the resort. We feel this issue could be easily rectified as it appeared to be more of a demand issue than one relating to the strength of the WiFi.
Firstly a big thank you to front of house staff Cham and Mark, bartender Riya, waiters Chanthy and Seyha and masseuse Lina for their warmth and attentiveness throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the facilities and the servicing of our room could not be faulted either. Staff aside, Anaya has heaps of potential but is not quite delivering what some may expect from a mid-luxury tier resort.

GreeceThe bungalows and overall facilities were not properly maintained: showers were rusty and with salts, blocking water from dripping properly. The door of the bungalows was not functioning properly at times. Also food offering was poor, both the breakfast included in the price and lunch and dinner. Sup board offered as a free activity was not functional although we mentioned that to the staff. The staff were very polity and well intended, but not properly trained. Overall it needs some work to justify the price
The location being beachfront was amazing
