That we didn't stay one more night, but instead went to the other side of the island, more fun, music, young people, still Lazy Beach is unbeatable in a sense of being on a deserted island, it brings you back in the days that will never ever return...

Bungalow 5, probably the closest to the beach/water, amazing view, sound, breeze, just so dreamy, secluded, quiet, beautiful!!! Bar/restaurant facilities also very relaxing, lively, friendly. Good food, nice hosts, chill vibe, don't want to leave...

I loved our stay on Lazybeach. It really is a unique stay and by far the best beach i have ever been to. The rooms are well designed wood huts. The restaurant was incredibly well stocked with western and local fold i could not believe the quality considering where we was. We stayed in an expensive resort on Koh Rong after this and it was not even close i spent the whole time missing Lazybeach!

Lazy Beach is a 1 mi walk from the ferry drop off on the east side of island. The east side of the island is full of hostels and resorts and is built up quite a bit. We saw a good number of people from the east side making that walk to the west side because the beach there is much nicer, secluded, and doesn't have a lot of people. The location is absolutely worth it. And the place is awesome. A fantastic covered, very large area to hang out whether you want to be social or secluded, both work. The staff were great, the food excellent, and the beach houses were simple yet felt luxurious. Also if they know that you're coming, they will send a tractor to pick you up from the dock, though other west side places such as sunset Beach is unable to pick you up because the walk entails descending a beautiful but very steep and narrow rocky trail that can only be walked with a backpack and definitely not carrying a suitcase. We visited in March, 2023 during which time there was an extensive amount of work done throughout the island establishing very wide roads as there is apparently an extensive amount of development happening on the island. It looks as though a huge amount of money is being put into developing the island by outside investment which could severely threaten the backpacker, cool, and remote vibe that seems to attract so many people to the island. If this happens, I think it'll be a really big loss. All this is to say, get too lazy beach as fast as you can before it could change in the next few years.

Just be aware that their website needs updating. Their own boat doesn't operate most days, so you will almost certainly need to book a public boat and they will pick you up with a tractor/trailer. They will tell you which companies go to the right pier. The price quoted for breakfast here is probably possible but maybe only if you want tea and toast. You order and pay for what you want and there are good options.

This was just what I needed for a relaxing several days. The welcome is very warm. The bungalows are simple but very comfortable, with nice touches such as fans inside the mosquito nets and a heavy lock box for valuables. The food was always delicious and the beer always cold. The sea is great for swimming in and the beach is cleaned. The walking on the island was much more extensive than I expected and there is coral and tropical fish at the end of the beach, with snorkelling equipment available for a very small charge. This is the only open accommodation / restaurant on the beach, which makes it very chilled. Weather permitting, there are glorious sunsets.

Everything about this place was absolutely amazing. Private cabins right on the beach, hammocks on the porch, mosquito nets around the large beds, and a little sitting area in the room. The beach is stunning. Gorgeous and clean, warm water for swimming, and even bioluminescence at night. The restaurant has a ton of variety of foods and we loved everything we ate and drank here. Super welcoming staff, and really an all around special and unique experience.

It would have been nice to see more activities being organized to nurture a little more of a community feeling😊

Lazy Beach is situated on a remote part of the island and you really feel like you have the whole thing to yourself. The staff are very helpful and the food is amazing! The bungalows are situated directly on the beach, which is wonderful. The housing is very basic, kind of shabby chic. Some occasional animal might wonder inside but this is what we expected when booking.🌴

Fuel generators hidden by the stream. Think about sustainability! Sad to see this wild island starting to be covered by uncontrolled development.

Occasional long wait times on food. I have worked in this industry so was accepting at busy times, but at slow times, this shouldnt be an issue when the kitchen was visibly very well staffed. An example being one morning I ordered breakfast for 1 person, a few mins later a family of 7 ordered breakfast. I received my food at the same time and it was just a simple omelette and fruit plate and I had to wait a long time for this.

The location is absolutely beautiful. The bungalows are a 30 sec walk from a quiet ultra clean beach where you get the sunset each night. There was only this accommodation on the whole beach and other accommodation/restaurants etc are a 45 min walk through jungle so it’s very remote and quiet. There were a lot of families when we stayed which made for a great atmosphere. Waiting times for food could be slow at times, but they were busy at times, but other times not and it could be very slow. The Irish girl (sorry I didn’t catch her name) was brilliant. Her service was exceptional along with her warm and friendly personality. She was also helping other new staff and looking after the doggies 🙂 Big thank you to her as she really made our stay so much easier. The guys who met us at the pier and took us and out bags back to the pier when we left were great too. This was a great addition and much appreciated service.

When it was busy the kitchen wasn’t able to manage to get dinner for all persons at one table at the same time. Sometimes one was finished while the other was still waiting. Food however was good!

A marvelous, peaceful paradise on a perfect beach. Don’t come expecting night life but relaxation and good food for sure. Just remember to bring enough cash from the mainland as there are no credit cards accepted, and no ATMs on the island. We were short and they were very understanding. Someone met us at the Sihanoukville ferry port and took us to an ATM.

Not a bad point, but a caution for Japanese guest: I think the bungalows are kept clean, but might not suit those who are thinking of "the resort hotel".

Everything in front is a private beach! As the name implies, I just got lazy! The tractor ride to and from the beach was interesting! The staff were very nice!

Nothing really. It might not be for everyone if you love ultra modern accommodation.

Location! also the perfect size of the beach, the restaurant and bar areas. The bungalows were rustic but we liked that too. Staff lovely. Even the tractor ride across country from the main beach was an experience.
