Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamGiven the ultra high price point, particularly for Cambodia, the team still has quite some challenges with English, the bathrooms are okay but not on the level of luxury you might expect. There was only minimum staff when we visited the place instead of a team of highly engaged associates as you see in international luxury properties.
This is an absolutely pristine property with very spacious villas in an amazingly quiet environment. The team is trying to support you throughout the journey including their own tuk-tuk service. Expect hand carved bedframes and fully renovated wooden farmhouses wonderfully preserving the spirit of rural Cambodia

United KingdomThe rice paddies had just been harvested when we got there I think, and so our villa was looking over swampy areas. Not as picturesque as the pictures let you believe. If there is some constructive feedback I can offer to the management: spend some time figuring out what elements of the offered service you can make automatic (I personally believe a 5 star hotel should have rooms made up, floors swept, linen changed, pool cleaned automatically; guests shouldn’t have to ask). I also think that the food situation needs urgent review. Our meals were almost always late, although I appreciate the staff bringing them to us; the food quality and quantity varied greatly; food order was also often wrong. And variety was pretty limited.
I really liked the rustic stay. Villas far away from each other that we could all feel like we are properly separated from other guests. I also liked that there was so much nature around us; waking up to the jungle sounds was an exceptional experience. Our personal assistant, Anita was ready to help us make our stay memorable and relaxing. A nice personal touch.

IndiaWe had taken a family pool villa, the pool has algae and insects and ants were a problem. They didn’t have basic things in the hotel, like butter! Although after lot of insisting, the staff arranged. Not a great place if you are a vegetarian l.
Nice and friendly staff, however, they spoke very little english.

IndiaIf there is something that can improve, it will be the food. The breakfast (and lunch and dinner which is a set menu) tends to limit us. We wished it was buffet style or a better constructed menu was made available. The food is alright though not great. The range of beverages is also somewhat limited. The service is very good though. Perhaps they could also improve the lighting of the resort. It is too dimly lit in the nights. So it feels a quite sedate post sunset.
For starters, the hotel has a resort-like ambience to it. It it few kms ahead of the city area. So it feels great to be in a quieter area. There is free transport provided by the hotel but with Grab app, access to the city is not a big constraint and is relatively inexpensive. The presence of Ms Chamnam (who was our butler equivalent) is great because she was the single point of contact and was very accessible on the phone. The staff is very polite and friendly and warm. (That actually seems to be the nature of most Cambodians.) The spa services is a standout. Although in the city, you can get 30-60 mins massages for $5-$7, they're in a crowded place surrounded by people lying next to you. But here the spa is very quiet, well designed and near perfect. The two ladies doing the treatments are excellent and well trained. So you feel refreshed after going through it considering the days tend to be hectic due to temple runs. There are 2 swimming pools. The salt water one looked fresher and the water was very clear. Did not try the other one. The property being large, you have the advantage of walking around - in the mornings or evenings. Or simply sitting out and hearing birds and insects chirping. The rooms are very large and beds very comfortable. So sleep comes easy. The minibar is well stocked.

CambodiaThe lighting of the room is a bit dark. Because of the hole of each door, the rat was able to enter the room and ate our food. Privacy should have been improved. We heard staff coming to the downstairs room to do things late at night and early in the morning. Lunch, dinner and drinks were overpriced. The quality of food and drinks were not worth the money we paid for.
The resort is only 15-20 min from town which is very convenient for people who want to be away from crowded and noisy area. The staff are friendly. Breakfast was fine. The room was large for 2 adults and 2 kids. We had dinner at the sunset dining area which is really pleasant with lake view.

Hong KongFeels more like an ecolodge than a 5 star. Food was disappointing, in quality, service and presentation. No particular atmosphere. Staff was very nice but not very efficient. The entire place is lacking efficient management.
The place is far from the city but quite exceptional. They did a beautiful job of lightning.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast quality and choices could definitely be improved. They were also lacking facilities for young children such as high chair, baby seat for the bike and cot. The location is quite far from town.
The rooms are stunning, definitely one of the most beautiful and luxurious we have ever stayed. Theyre also very spacious and comfortable. It was also nice to have space to walk around the grounds. We very much appreciated the set lunch everyday as well as the dedicated tuk tuk driver into town.

SingaporeThere is no aircon restaurant so if you come during the hot season (April) having dinner outside it's almost impossible.
Location was a bit out of the way, you need a 30 min tuktuk ride to the city. Breakfast had mostly local dishes which were delicious, coffee was exceptional.

United Arab EmiratesThe personnel did not really speak English well (I mean if you ask a specific question, they probably did not really understood). Also the staff knowledge about local sightseeing was a bit disappointed.
We liked the Villa and the very secluded resort! This was absolutely amazing and if you want to spend quite time to relax, it’s a great place.

SingaporeLocation is not central its about 25min from the centr via tuk tuk/car so not for everyone who wants to just walk around town. It’s surrounded by nature so be prepared for insects which is normal.
Staff was courteous and polite, willing to go the extra mile to organise tuk tuks/trips/guided tours/ restaurant bookings.

CambodiaShort-staffed, there was no personal butler. The free food included in the package were not tasty and did not have a large variety. It didn’t feel like a 5-star hotel. The shower soaps/shampoos provided in the room were used and not new bottles.

AustraliaWe cut our trip short by 3 days and moved to another hotel. Facilities and grounds were rundown, shabby and felt like a ghost town. Worst of all there were broken boards with rusty nails sticking out surrounding our private pool which was covered in algae, our bar fridge was empty and didn’t work. There was no butler as specified on the website. Worst of all, when we tried to cancel our remaining three nights they tried to charge us $600 for a New Year’s Eve party they told us was free with the stay. Feel extremely upset about the whole experience and ended up paying over 1k for one night with all of the issues mentioned above.
The beds were comfortable and the villa spacious.

United StatesDo not book with this property group! Two days before I was scheduled to arrive, I received an email stating that the property was closed for “urgent renovation.” I was then told that I would be moved to a different property in a downgraded room. They did not offer to make any kind of recompense; when I inquired for an airport pickup they actually had the gall to tell me that there would be a charge! According to other reviews, they have apparently pulled this nonsense before. Avoid!!!

ChinaLet me share my nightmarish experience with a hotel that you should absolutely steer clear of. I had booked a villa at what was supposed to be a luxurious hotel with excellent service and private butlers. But just five days before my check-in, I was abruptly informed that the villa was under renovation and I was shunted to one of their so-called sister hotels. The replacement hotel was a disaster. The private butler, who was supposed to provide top-notch service, was completely useless. Messages went unread for hours, and when a response finally came after a staggering 3-4hours, it was just a feeble "Sorry, we are very busy." Breakfast that was ordered for a specific time never showed up. The room cleaning was a joke – only the yard was cleaned while the room interior remained untouched. And as for the promised afternoon tea? Forget about it. I was told it wasn't ready and then it was never provided. This hotel is a prime example of false advertising. It claims to offer great service but fails miserably on every front. Do not be lured by any of its promises. Save yourself the headache and disappointment. Avoid this hotel like the plague.
