Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CambodiaThere is a bird house next door and sometimes it can be a little loud. It was not loud on this stay. The manager is fluent in English but the staff not so good. This is not really a problem the staff are very helpful and will work something out for you.
This is a very nice laid back place to stay. Manager and staff are great friendly and helpful. It is good value for your money.

Singapore- maybe a shower could be added next to the pool (for rinsing before/after); pool could do with some surface level cleaning - unfortunately a nightclub is located behind the property and you can sometimes hear the bass beats late at night during weekends (not the hotel’s fault, but important to note if you’re sensitive to noise)
- Clean spacious bedroom and bathroom - modern silent A/C - large pool to cool down - very friendly owner & kind service

NetherlandsRooms are in need of some maintenance. There could be more furniture or, at least, shelves to put your stuff. We had an issue with a badly leaking airco which was, apparently, fixed but there was still a massive pool of water right beside the bed. With hindsight we should've asked for another room because all of them were empty while we were there. The hotel is also a Korean bbq restaurant but they couldn't make us a coffee?! Many people came to use the pool and were given full access to the rooms and facilities, which is ok, but it felt like our needs were not met as paying guests. Sila and her ladies are lovely people but, in our opinion, they need to work harder to make this the lovely oasis that it could be.
The pool was really good, clean and perfect in the Cambodian heat. Location was a 15 min walk to the main restaurants and bars but, because of the heat, we got tuk tuks in for around $1.50. Bed really comfortable and shower nice temperature.

United KingdomVery noisy as already mentioned plus people talking loudly well after quiet period (23.00) and had to get up out of bed to ask them to be quieter as nearly midnight, and we had an early departure.
Staff nice. Location away from centre which was a plus, however very noisy as opposite a wedding venue also no sound proofing. Able to walk into town but road traffic pretty busy especially on bridge.

AustraliaEverything. Espesially the manager, the proprieter, of who ever she was was unpleasnt and only good at excuses to why it was so bad. We were so disappointed we left. Booked another hotel in the centre of Kampot which was 1000 times better (This hotel is situated miles from the centre of Old Kampot) I think you would class this local area as Semi Industrial. She demanded money of course ; "You leave, You pay!" So the mistake we made booking this place cost me $140 USD for not even one night. Very pissed off as the images on Booking are clearly misrepresenting the true nature of the place.
Nothing. It was awful. The rooms were in a very poor condition, lets just say some Gulags would have a better vibe. We booked three rooms and one airconditioner did not work. The facilities outside the rooms looked like the manager was doing a side laundry business. Dirty, junk and motorcycle parts next to the "outdoor area" which you might suppose is the "resort" part of the hotel title. A restaurant was being built next to the front of the 'hotel" so loud screaming grinders set the ambience of the "Resort" - Look up the definition of Resort - and just think the opposite.

VietnamResort? Ehh, the place, far from anything, is the owner’s house with a backyard unfiltered pool and some box rooms built around it. No windows, No views, No fridge. No chairs. No facilities, No amenities. No areas. No services. Not even keys to the room. Nothing. When I was taken to my “room”. It was a hot box full of flies, those big black noisy ones that fly near your ear. Out of my 15 minutes in the room, 10min were spent together with a staff member trying to electrify them with rackets. Such a fun welcome. I couldn’t bear staying in the room with the flies. So I left and asked the owner if she could please cancel my booking. After all, my big mistake was booking and paying by card 10 minutes before arriving. And it was around noon. The owner, In nonchalant, disinterested, negligent, uncaring, offhand, effortless tone, just waved her hands saying “i don’t know… i don’t know ... ..you already paid by credit card, I can’t do anything…ha ha” . Totally not caring about the situation. I said ok and that I would cancel on booking and would be nice if she could waive the fees. I did in the app and she responded thinking she was answering booking.com. Saying big lies, and didn’t waive my payment. I was entertained. I have traveled all over Cambodia for years and this was the only time I encountered such an attitude and scammy place.
