One small thing only: uneven toilet cemented floor keeps water from fully draining after shower. A bit unpleasant to always get wet feet when stepping into toilet.

A slice of heaven on Koh Rong Samloem. Paolo, Corrie and Nadia treat all the guests like welcome friends - it’s a lovely atmosphere and community here. The 45 min walk through the jungle means it’s secluded and unspoilt and you get a more private beach setting that feels extra special. Accommodation is simple but all you really need for your stay - and the communal areas are beautiful. Very difficult to tear yourself away. Prices of food could be a little cheaper, but understand island prices are generally higher.

Absolutely amazing!! The beach is beautiful, very calm and the vibes are just perfect. There are also plenty of activities (hiking in the jungle, kayaking, rock climbing and snorkeling) to do. The stuff is absolutely lovely and really make you feel at home. I wished I could have stayed longer in this paradise. Whatever your expectations will be, this place will exceed them.

Leaving.

Staying at SooBoo was like saying in a friend's house. The resort is quite small so that there is only ever a small number (Less than 20?) of guests staying. The three front of house hosts, Nadia, Paulo and Cory, always greeted you by your first name and with genuine warmth. When you order something in the restaurant/bar you aren't asked to sign a chit afterwards it was simply added to your bill. Nadia made the most exquisite cocktails and the food was excellent. Sunset beach is still virtually unspoiled. The four resorts that operate on this beach have a very light and sympathetic footprint to their surroundings so that they blend into the environment and are almost invisible from the beach. The water is incredibly clean and clear. I lazed away my days lying in a hammock reading my book and listening to the waves lap against the beach. There was no gastly blaring music here. The snorkeling was excellent at the rocks on the left hand side of the beach. Others spencer the morning doing yoga would a teacher who was rewarded on a gratuity basis. The four resorts offered variety if one wanted to dine in a different resort each evening. I have traveled around southeast Asia for the past 40 years. It's very, very rare in this day and age to find such a beautiful unspoiled spot. Perhaps it was the beauty and tranquility of our surroundings that made the Seeboo hosts so congenial. The entire experience reminded me of the story in the book "Lost Horizons". The traveler stumbles upon a paradise valley named Shangri-La. He leaves but later spends the rest of his life trying to rediscover it. I felt I had rediscovered Shangri-La and was very sad to have to leave it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sunboo! Our bungalow was located just steps away from the beach which was beautiful and clean, and not many people at all compared to Saracen Bay. The bungalow was basic but had all we needed. We tried all the places to eat at Sunset Beach and we though Sunboo had the best food, and great drinks ;). The walk from Saracen took about 30-40 mins, definitely would not recommend with handheld or wheeled luggage (also seemed easier on the way back to Saracen). Thank you so much to Paolo, Corey and Nadia - they were all so welcoming and friendly, and made our stay very enjoyable!

Incredible. Places like SunBoo and Sunset Beach are becoming harder and harder to find! We will miss waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean and walking a few steps from our bungalow door to swim in the clearest water imaginable. The staff, the food, the activities could not have been better and the sunsets each evening will give you goosebumps they are so beautiful. Cant recommend this corner of heaven enough. This is a special place to stay on a very special remote beach! The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming, they really stand out for their care and hospitality. Thank you Ray, Paulo, Nadia and Cory. Great location right on the beach with plenty of hammocks to hang out in, beach mats to borrow and free water refills. Nice spacious restaurant with good food. Lovely products in the bathroom! Room was clean, simple and quiet and I slept really well. I hope to return.

The location. Even though it takes a bit to get to the beach from the ferry port (only reachable with backpack), it is totally worth it. Beautiful beach, not crowded, comfortable rooms and tasty food options.

The dorm is spacious, well netted (keeped out the mosquitos) and comfortable. The staff was really welcoming and was very relaxed. Great food and prices. Beautiful beach and was worth the jungle trek to get there.

Staff were especially wonderful, and the location and atmosphere of the place were simply perfect. Remote and peaceful beach with several small beach hut resorts so several places to eat; great combination. Being able to rent kayaks next door was so convenient and going on a bioluminescent plankton night time kayak and swim was magical.

Everything! We absolutely loved staying here and our only regret was not having longer. Paolo, Cory and Nadia have created something really special here. The setting is stunning, and it's well worth the trek through the forest to find somewhere so quiet and relaxing. The food is great, the staff incredibly helpful, and the atmosphere with other guests super friendly. We spent our days reading, playing games, doing yoga, snorkeling, chatting to other guests, and all with no phone connection- the perfect way to relax! Thanks so much for an amazing stay guys!

Sleep in the dorm was a relaxing and incredible experience. Located into the jungle, and no insect inside at all. The restaurant is the best in the beach and the only one with real vegetarian options. Last but no least the daily yoga classes with Cory ( 3 diff times).

Don't look further and book this wonderful place! Paulo and Nadja went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We are on our honeymoon in South East Asia and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The 30 min hike is absolutely worth is. There are few places in the world that are unspoiled like this place. Sunset Beach feels like a community. Every morning we got coffee at the neighboring joint and had food at another place. They even recommended us to try the other places. Truly an unique experience. For snorkeling head up to the right side of the beach (near the rocks) and enjoy the lovely coral. We will be back!
