Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CambodiaThe shower floor should've slanted a bit more towards the drain. Water was pooling up towards the back of the shower.
Near the city center but far enough to be on the quiet side. Modern and clean design. The breakfast was good. Staff are polite. They have a little gym area but we had to ask them to put a fan in it. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

United KingdomThere was no option to ask for the room to be cleaned which would have been nice. The options for breakfast were not quite our thing, a western option would be good but it's not a real complaint as we are in Cambodia....
The staff were excellent, very good English and super helpful, particularly the man on the front desk and the two restaurant staff. Rooms were big and clean, small balcony but good view. Location is pretty good, either a ten minute walk into town or a very cheap tuk tuk.

PhilippinesThere was a pillar in the bathroom that could hurt if you're not careful when you shower. I already told the host about this.
It's brand new and clean. Comfortable and it's along the main road.

AustraliaUnfortunately because they’ve only been open a month when we stayed, they were still completing the level above us and there was construction. Also we had no house keeping for the whole four nights we stayed. But super nice hotel SO good for the price. Would stay again

AustraliaWe stayed in this wonderful hotel for 4 nights. The staff were absolutely amazing and could not do enough to help. Lika was very helpful and the manager upgraded our room to the Family suite which was so wonderful. The beds were so comfy, the apartment so clean and the food in the restaurant was delicious. 15 min walk to the old city or $1.00 tuktuk. Kampot was such a wonderful city and this beautiful hotel was a gem. Thank you, we would stay again 100%.

AustriaThey would have an espresso machine, but breakfast coffee comes in a mug and is not very good.
Nice, clean, modern, spacious room, comfortable bed. I did not need the provided earplugs because it was very quiet. Nice staff. Good breakfast, western and asian options. French quarter is 30 min walking distance, but Grab brings you there for 1$

TurkeyThe first night I arrived at the hotel after dark. When I woke up in the morning, there were ants on the walls, on the floor and under the mirror. I reported this to the reception and they cleaned my room. The next day there were ants again and this time they were in the closet and I was very disturbed by this situation. The water drain in the bathroom was constantly clogged and it was like a lake when taking a shower. The breakfast variety was limited and when I got up to get something on my plate, a waitress was always waiting for me (as if she was checking and asking me to eat less).

IndiaThe location is a about 1.5km away from the happening part of town, which I did not mind as such. A tuktuk would typically take $1-$1.5 for that or you could take a leisurely walk and see the Durian roundabout in between and the local markets. I stumbled across a store selling Anime goods (Jintan Anime Store) while doing that. The drainage in my washroom was a bit slow causing some degree of clogging.
The staff consisted of some of the sweetest people. They always inquired about me and how I was finding the city and made recommendations about places to visit. The rooms were decent and had a good view. The reception staff will help you stay updated if you have booked a bus with Giant Ibis for further travels (which will pick you up from the front of the hotel, if you book tickets on Giant Ibis website; not all hotels are listed but this one is). The property is right on the main road that goes to Phnom Penh.
