Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandYou couldn't find a hanger to save yourself! There are no hangers anywhere, not in the room or the shower, so the whole hostel is filled with guest clothes. There were no hot water in the woman's shower (there was in the man's and in the smaller rooms which just must it even more annoying). The dorm room really need some upkeep. If you want to shower and sleep it not the place for you...
There was a pool I guess..

NetherlandsThe private rooms are like a shipping container with no windows. Plus fruits keep dropping on the roof all night long, impossible to sleep with the incessant noise of things falling on a metal roof.

United KingdomWe stayed in one of the shipping container doubles, expected it to be small but is very cramped and dark. Despite the large window it is up against a wall so does not get much natural light. The floor was very dirty, had to brush off our feet before getting into bed. I suspected that the bedding wasn’t clean due to the smell and their being dirt at the end of bed, like someone dirty feet had been in there. It rained one night and the ceiling leaked water which dripped directly onto the pillows on the bed. The room was full of mosquitos (not the hostels fault, but a net would great). Our door wouldn’t lock properly and we had to ask for it to be fixed twice. Seemed like other guests also had issues locking and unlocking their doors. Don’t mind a place at this price being basic and a bit run down but cleanliness and security is a must!
The staff were lovely and very helpful. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant the menu looked really good with a few vegetarian and vegan options. Great location to get everywhere in town.

GermanyBathrooms were rather dirty and quite broken / run down. In general, the whole facilities require renovations. We stayed in the private pod, cute but dark and no hooks / means for easier organization. In total there were 2 toilets and 3 showers (of which one only really worked). I assume dorm rooms had their own additional bathroom?
Good value for money. Good location as well as nice and helpful staff. Especially front desk / reception & night staff was incredibly helpful and helpful and nice. Social hostel with activities. Good restaurant & bar with pool table on site.

United StatesThe hostel is fine the staff also ok but I'm complaining about the bus they booked for me to phnom Penh. It was a terrible bus company worst of the worst zero respect to customers time 2.5 hours late for no excusable reason. The hostel should work with reputable bus companies. We are foreign travellers we have travel plans.

PhilippinesThough I had an upgraded room, the lighting is too dark, the linens, comforter needs to be changed. The storage could be improved. But, it is affordable, so you can check and try.
It has a pool. They have a daily activity to make sure people are engaged. For travellers who likes a little bit of party along the way.

Kazakhstan- the lock in the bathroom didn’t work - the rooms are super dark in case if you wanna read before sleeping (the lights won’t help) - the room was not cleaned and it smelled very badly in the moment when AC is off - if u wanna use their towel you have to pay $1 for using it. Never happened that before
The stuff was very nice. It has swimming pool and pool table inside but it was pretty busy. It’s a good place for people who like party and don’t have a plan to wake up early for Angkor wat but if you need to wake up early then it’s better to stay in other place cuz this place is pretty loud.

United KingdomWe stayed in a private room, both types. The rooms were okay, however the bathroom facilities were not clean and prices for the rooms, social activities and bar menu are not justified.
There was a pool and it was a decent location, on the outset it looks good
