Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeNothing except for a few inconsiderate guests who talked and laughed loudly at the kitchen. Anyway, Rossa's mother would be there at 11pm every night to put everyone to bed. So, peace is guaranteed by 11pm.
Really sparkling clean, comfortable bed, located next to the historical site and within a walking distance from the intercity bus terminal (about 10mins). 7-11 24 hour convenient store is just opposite with a few local restaurants around the hostel. The owner, Rossa, is a friendly and helpful lady who would do all her best to assist you. Thanks for the yummy traditional Gyeongju bread from her mother-in-law and your daily breakfast provided. We will see you again 😘

SpainNothing bad to say.
AMAZING! - Staff were exceptional: Always bringing me snacks and things to try. Doing their utmost best to make me feel at home whilst I was there (honestly most hospitable staff I've had the pleasure of encountering in almost all my travels). - Breakfast: A solid breakfast of cereals, toasts, organic eggs and a few spreads. Absolutely great (especially for the price). - Beds: Comfortable and with electric blankets which were great. - Wifi: Super fast. - Bathrooms: Clean, hot showers and equipped with everything you need (toothpaste, Q-tips, soap, shower gel and shampoo) - Location: Great. Right next to the Silla burial grounds, a 10-min walk to the temples and museum (a must visit btw) and near the bus stop to go to any of the other spots. Overall a MUST STAY for anyone visiting Gyeonjyu!

United KingdomBeautiful and kind lady who works there. So helpful and sweet, she kept offering me traditional Korean food and drink to try. Clean and comfortable place to stay. Good quality bedding and facilities. Great showers! Breakfast was good, you can cook your eggs just how you like them! The location was very central but the other side of town to the bus terminals, about a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride. Really friendly hostel. I met a very interesting French guy, some Spanish people and Koreans too.

IsraelThe rooms are slightly on the smaller scale, but that's both an advantage and disadvantage as everything in the room feels well designed. In addition most people coming to Gyeongju stay 1 or 2 nights so the room being a little small for such a short stay is completely fine.
Perfect for a short stay in Gyeongju. The hostel is within walking distance of everything to see in town or the bus going to Bulguksa. The staff was wonderful, shout out to Tina. They were happy to give recommendations and ask how your day was every time with a smile. It's super clean and the entire space feels super well designed from the beds, showers and kitchen. The breakfast is also a great addition, especially for such a cheap price. Overall you can't go wrong with this place considering the price and value.

United KingdomThe lady at the front desk was lovely as sunshine, always smiling, always friendly, always helpful. I really liked the hostel (and I don't normally like hostels). It was spotless, breakfast was good, kitchen was well equipped, beds had blinds for privacy, nice common area if you want to meet other guests. There's a computer to use, and calf massagers. And did I mention the front desk lady? She was great; she deserves a raise.
