How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My room aircon was down despite my complaints on the very day i checked in, i was asked to tolerate and sleep with the fans on with the only solution. I am very disappointed on the staff who handle this.
Hotel is near the shopping street of Myeongdong and with lots of restaurants to choose from. Room is clean.

If only the room is bigger!
Breakfast was good. I like the American brunch. But I wish that you give the flexibility of ordering just hard boiled or sunshine up eggs. Risotto good but to have beef risotto early morning seems abit too heavy.

Rooms were a bit small but okay for 2 people.
The hotel was very conveniently located in the heart of Myeongdong, 2 min walk from the metro and 5 min walk from the airport bus stop at L7. Myeongdong shopping street was literally behind the hotel and access to lines 2, 3 and 4 were within walking distance. The famous sandwich chain Isaac was just outside the property, great for a breakfast sandwich to start your day!

The hotel was super hot at night which you couldn't control even though it showed you could.
The location of this hotel is excellent! The shops and markets are right around the corner which was wonderful for exploring after our day of touring. Viberant streets with Lots of cosmetic shops, food stalls,coffee shops, Clothing etc. So many star buck shops for morning coffee.

TV remote battery was flat. When I enquired for one, they had no battery on site and had to wait for next day engineer to advise. Didn’t get a chance to check out TV during entire stay due to no battery. Bathroom floor has brown slime in floor gap between shower and dry area. Stepped on it and noticed entire strip has it. Also safety risk. Room size small for 3 persons - no space for luggage nor enough wardrobe space to hang. Considering it’s winter w coats, scarves, beanies. A backroom staff, a gentlemen, decided he was more important and interrupted our conversation with front desk when we were asking for direction. He didn’t even acknowledge us, our presence nor the fact that we were in a conversation.
Front desk Staff was attentive and responsive. Polite and helpful.

We were initially only given one room key between 2 people. This meant that if once person went out to get something and the other person stayed behind there were no lights on in the room. Fortunately we were able to get a second one without much trouble.
Location was very convenient for the area of Myeongdong. We were able to walk to all the major landmarks in the area which was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and there were miltipul convenient stores which made getting snacks easy. The reception staff was also very nice. When we were having issues with using Kakao Taxi they were able to help navigate the app. Room size was also really nice considering we were in the middle of a busy part of Seoul.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s perfect, in the heart of Myeongdong! However, that’s about the only great thing they have. The staff is terrible, they have a vending machine for water and personal little things because they do not provide them in the room. The rooms are fine. It’s very pricy for what it actually is.
