Located close to Dongdaemun shopping area with plentiful of food choices. Airport bus is 3 minutes by foot. Convenience stall at the corner. Hostel is very clean and modern though the exterior doesn't appear so. Heated floor, air-condition, hot water and pressure works very well. Free water dispenser and free washing machine usuage (no. of times is in relation to your room fees). English-speaking owner and his lovely wife are both very friendly and helpful; available at all time round the clock in case you need them. Very comfortable beds and had a restful 5 nights there.

Room smelled moldy, smell went away after maybe a minute of turning the AC on

Owner was incredibly nice and helpful; one memory that stood out to me was when I was trying to do my laundry, he helped me set up the laundry rack to dry it outside and even helped me bring it in after sundown, really appreciate it. Room is also quite clean, location is incredibly convenient yet in a quiet neighborhood.

I was there quite before the check-in time but it was no problem to leave my luggage there. Everything was clean, the room was cozy and the staff was super friendly and attentive! The hostel is very central so you can reach a lot of sights quite fast. However, there is no big selection of restaurants and cafes around it.

- super small room but ok if you spend your days outside - snall window gives on an alley where some people smoke so stinky sometimes - bed a bit hard for occidental standards

- really good value for money - good location not far from transportation, convenience store, gwangjang market etc. - very good equipments (kitchen, laundry, tv in the room) - nice bathroom hot shower, comfortable - kind staff

I don't have anything to dislike with this place. This place is really good.

I like the location of the hostel since it is near the subway station and bus station. Any visitor could go around Seoul easily when a bus station or a subway station is nearby the accommodation. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Hot showers are available too. The price for my stay was really good. The owner is really friendly and speaks well in English. He suggests local places to visit like the Gwangjang night market etc. Highly recommended. Willing to book again.

We knew before booking about the room size. For 3 adults with 3 bags the space might be small but was enough for us :)

Great location, near DDP, cafes, restaurants, shops, money exchange, city transport both metro and buses. Very nice staff on the reception. We could leave our bags before check-in. We could refill our bottles with fresh cold water in the kitchen. We didn't have breakfast so I can't say anything about it except it was served at 8AM.

Absolutely great location - close to subway, food markets and practically in walking distance to any and all must see places! Great, helpful and kind personnel. Nice addiction was a shared kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meal :)

Staff guy is very nice and kind, he always helped us when we asked for something and he was always smiling! The room was clean and cozy, kitchen with anything you need and the building was in a great area near convenience store, subway, cafes.. Anything you need. Price was very affordable so we are very satisfied about our stay and we wanna say thank you so much for welcoming us!

Location is fantastic and the price is hard to beat for Seoul. If you are looking for budget accommodations this is the place. Staff were very helpful. Use of kitchen and washing/drying machine for clothes was a great bonus. We have already booked our next stay.

The staff was really friendly! Location was great! We mostly walked to explore the city or used subway which is nearby. We wanted to rebook it for a week later but there was no place. He helped us to find another otel for our next visit to Seoul! 감사합니다!

Excellent location with bus station 6001 (to the airport) just next to the hostel. The man at the reception is very nice, he helped us to carry our luggage and showed us how to catch the early bus to get to the airport. We enjoyed our stay at Dongdaemun Hwashin hostel :)
