Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaSmall Room and no lift.
The location was very good, very close to myeongdong street, walking distant. Nearby to DAISO, Malaysia fav.. Daiso like 100m only. The room is very small and no lift, but the receptionist can help to carry your luggage. The heater was good. The toilet is comfortable. The only thing is the room very small but for that price and distant worth it.

1. The location is very convenient in terms of shopping, meals and transportation. 2 The supply of hot and cold drinking water. 3. The safety of the tourists as we need to used password to enter. 4. Use Password to the room instead of using key card.

MalaysiaAlthough it has already indicated in the booking that hotel didnt provide any towel, we think it's necessary considering the cost is double than the other guesthouse around seoul/myeongdong. Blanket should be also been provided to the guest.
the location is nearby the subway station and a halal restaurant which is easy for muslim traveller to dine in. Hotel provided free coffee/tea sachet and the coffee is nice.taste Asian.

PhilippinesTheir room heater is hard to set. We went during winter, but the room heater was fixed at 17. Room is super cold. Im not sure if the room heater is working. They only provide face towels, so make sure to bring your bath towels if you will book this hostel.
Super close to Myeongdong Station. About 3mins walk. They provide free coffee and drinking water.

AustraliaWe had to ask for toilet paper a couple of times for our week’s stay. In future it would be great to have a spare roll in the room. Some beds were a bit hard, and one room didn’t have a fan in the bathroom.
Excellent location. Very close to the train station and Myeong-dong. Staff were friendly. Felt very safe in the rooms as well.

AustraliaThis facility gives hand towels to guests instead of proper sized bath towels. When asked of proper sized, they said guests have to buy it themselves. They charge almost hotel rate but the service is substandard. The doona cover was dirty though it is white in colour. On closer look, obviously has not been changed or washed from previous guests. I asked them to change it a few times because I have sensitive skin but was refused. Other staff promised to change but never did. They supplied public slippers which were useless and we never use them, only wasting space in a very small congested room. The bed was also smaller than a standard double. Could not sleep well throughout my stay because of my concern for cleanliness of the bed. Will not stay here again.
The location close to MTR and day trip starting points.

ChinaRoom was incredibly small. Nowhere to put your clothes or suitcase (bed is low). Bed basically blocks access to shower so you have to hop over the bed. No towels given, had to pay 6,000 won. Personally, I did feel like the price I paid was not worth the size of the room, but I actually really enjoyed my cosy room in the end. I stayed about 5 nights.
Safety was great. Electronic padlocks. Location is essentially what you are paying for because its across the street from central myeong-dong street. So, close to the action but quieter so you can sleep. Although the rubbish bins truck did keep me up sometimes. Friendly, helpful staff who tried their best with english. Great information in reception. Also got the airport service which was a luxurious car and efficient service, but quite expensive on a student budget. Marvin was good at communicating.

AustraliaOverpriced if compared to other hotels with similar or better standards in the neighbourhood. The double bed was actually king single. Please be aware there is no wardrobe in the room (only space underneath the bed if you'd like to store your things there).
Some may find the rooms too small, but actually, it was its beauty and specific aura. It's the best location you could imagine. Friendly stuff.
