Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandSheets on the bed are plastic backed, which made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable especially when it was a bit warmer. Breakfast was fairly basic.
Great location - very close to the tombs, excellent coffee shops, a wonderful cocktail bar and good bus links. Staff very friendly. Laundry machines easy to use. Room and bathroom were much bigger than the average for Korea. Plenty of bottled water available too.

New ZealandGood location: easy walking distance to the town’s sights. Friendly hotel reception: ordered us taxis to Bulguksa and the station. Great included breakfast: plentiful ramen choices, eggs, fruit, croissants, packaged baked goods. Big clean room; but glass door/walls for bathroom and only hand towels for bath towels. Plastic sheet on mattress Lockers to store suitcases before and after checkin/ checkout

CroatiaThere was no closet, only clothes rack with four hangers, but that is usual thing in Korean hotels. This hotel was above our expectations, we have no complaints! We were very satisfied!
The room looked exactly as on photos, large and clean, with a lot of light, with nice smart tv and mosquito nets. The bathroom was very nice, spacious and with separate bathtub. The location was great, 2 minutes walk to the main road with bus stops. Breakfast was as described by previous guests: cornflakes, tost, butter, jam, cheese, eggs, warm croissants, fried rice, noodles, some fruit, milk, juice. There is a microwave if you like warm milk. We didn't expect buffet breakfast so we were very satisfied especially when compared to other hotels in Korea that we visited. Everything was clean, the staff was friendy.

BelgiumThe hotel is well located for visiting the historic area with the Silla barrows and the Silla tomb information center a leisurely 3min walk away. The hotel is modern & very clean. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom had a shower & a jacuzzi. Breakfast was good, but places in the 2 breakfast rooms are a limited. The rooms were surprisingly warm for April & the remote for the Airco was not in the rooms. Which is not an issue in April , but hopefully they make it available in summer.

NetherlandsThe only issue was that the shower didn’t have a glass separation as the floor of the bathroom was the shower drain, so while aesthetically this looked nice, it meant anytime I would shower the stuff on the sink would get soaked.
The facilities in general were very nice, the room was very spacious and in an excellent location. Plus the staff was nice

United StatesThe bed was quite uncomfortable and the room that was advertised for 3 people only really had sleeping space for 2.
Things like toiletries could be picked up at the lobby whenever you needed them, no need to ask. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was fantastic.

Hong KongThe breakfast was lack of options probably not suitable for elderly to stay in, the location was allocated in the alley.
The room price was good value for 3ppl to stay in, and it was clean to stay in. The toilet was quite spacious even has its own bath tub. Easy check in and check out by the machine.

AustraliaWe didn’t realise that the only towels that would be provided were hand towel sized. This made it difficult to dry ourselves after a shower. We would have appreciated a map of the local area as other hotels typically provide. We had no idea what was in the area until we went out exploring. The hotel did send us restaurant recommendations which was very helpful.
Breakfast was basic but if you just wanted the basics - cereal, toast and some fruit it was fine. We bought coffee out each day because the coffee in the hotel was not to our liking.

United Arab EmiratesThere wasn’t anything significant to dislike. The stay was pleasant, and all essentials were well covered.
The hotel has an extremely central location, making it convenient to explore the key attractions of Gyeongju. The room was spotlessly clean, and I appreciated the spacious bedroom and bathroom, which made for a very comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist, adding a personal touch to the experience. Overall, it offered great value for money.

The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to the tombs archaeological area and the town centre. The hotel itself is functional and a little quirky, but OK for a few nights. Hotel is clean. Breakfast very basic.

United KingdomI am a light sleeper and found the room to be noisy due to being able to hear people moving around in adjacent rooms. Another small but irritating thing was that we were only given hand towels to dry with! I am not sure if this was a mistake as I’ve not encountered this in any of the many hotels I’ve stayed in in Korea. Anyway, I ended up using the bath robe to dry off as the towels were so small I could barely wrap my hair in one, let alone dry myself well!
This hotel is located in a great place for visiting the Silla historical sights. It is in a quiet area with nice little boutique shops and restaurants nearby. Would recommend the nearby restaurant called The Still Room for food, drink and a warm welcome. It’s also close to bus routes but the Unesco sites are within walking distance of this hotel. The bathroom was huge with a fab shower.

United StatesThe bathroom had only small towels and no large towels were available to use at this hotel. The shower has an open design so water spills onto the floor. There are no English news channels only Korean shows. The bathroom had a very bad odor coming out from the drain on the floor. They should have a tray filled with ice to hold the milk and yogurt instead of just leaving them out.
The breakfast was good with many offerings including free ramen noodles.. The room had a comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi worked well. They provided me with great info on local attractions and restaurants before I arrived. I liked the free use of the washing machine and dryer abd laundry soap.

GermanyThe only thing we didnt like was the mattress has a cover like plastic, it does not only make a sound all the time but also burns you all night. The bed was comfy, but because of the cover, we had a horrible time. I understand that it is protection, but you should consider finding a different cover because this one is the worst I have ever seen.
It was clean and neat, and in the central location easy to walk everywhere. The rooms were big and spacious, we liked it very much. The reception was nice and the staff was nice also. Free water all the time was a great plus in the heat.
