Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe breakfast. I understand they offer this type of breakfast because of COVID but mine had a chocopie, a juice, doughnut milk, and a boiled egg. Don't get me wrong I appreciate but chocopie is super sugary plus a doughnut was a little bit too much sweet for a breakfast that was offered from 6 am to 9 am.
Loved this hotel and plan on staying here again. It's literally right in front of Exit 9 in Myeongdong making it super accessible. The palaces are 10 to 15min max away, you can see Namsan Tower, Gangnam is a 15min taxi drive for those that love COEX for shopping. The staff is great, the room was always clean and neat and they have a 7Eleven in the same building for easy access to snacks and Tmoney cards for transports

SingaporeThe room size is very small. Literally a box with no windows at all - other than a tiny one that really is facing a brick wall. The cramped & windowless state gives a feeling of being in a "bomb shelter". Basic hotel with no other facilities. But, good hotel if you just want a room within the city for convenience. The free breakfast provided was the same everyday - Do not expect a hot meal or sandwiches. Think it was a rather basic hotel for its price. I later found other hotels with more facilities and better rooms than this hotel and at equivalent rates, but it was too late to cancel.
Liked the convenience of getting to train line - gate is just outside the hotel. it is located in the Myeondong district, so it is rather centrally located and accessible to shopping and markets, and pick up point for group tours if you are joining any. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping room clean everyday. Wifi was good. One plus was the hotel managed to make a last minute change one of the rooms from a twin bed to a double bed room.

South KoreaThe WiFi barely worked - we had signal but websites would load intermittently. The breakfast bag consisted of a hard boiled egg, a doughnut, warm milk, juice and a snack. Seemed like a cost-cutting measure more than a COVID-19 measure. Did not feel safe knowing that the emergency staircase doubled as the smoking area.
Great location - right next to the station. Lots of shops and restaurants within a couple minute walk. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with in English. The beds were comfortable. The quad room (4 beds) has a separate shower room in addition to the bathroom which was useful as a family.

NetherlandsI was given a room with 3 beds since they don't have any available twin beds. The problem with this is that the room does not have a window (there is a fake window). The place is closed area and suffocating. Also, nobody picks up the garbage in the room nor any available garbage to throw wasted food. We stayed in the room for 5 days /4 nights and imagine the garbage we accumulated during that time. Water bottles and all other plastic wrapper or leftover food we ate. Warning, the subway does not have a lift/elevator that would go all the way up. So, if you have big luggages - you will have to prepare yourself for a tough climb.
The location is perfect - near subway. This is near night market, and N Tower (other tourist spots). The airport bus - this is the last stop (perfect with luggages on a rainy day).

NetherlandsThe beds could be a bit nicer. It's good for the price, especially when you're out and about all day. But the beds themselves aren't much to write home about. The rooms aren't that well insolated sound wise either.
The location is absolutely perfect. It's right next to the entrance of a subway and a bus stop. Making getting around the city a breeze. There's also a 7-11 right next door, making getting quick snacks, and drinks really easy, just take the elevator down and get some nice breakfast, grab some drinks, and head back up to the hotel room. Likewise it has a great view of N Seoul Tower with a stunning view at night. And a really nice shopping street right by the hotel for just wandering about. The room service was also excellent, we got water bottles every day, and they also cleaned the beds and room daily. Hell they even folded our messy clothes several times. The included toothbrush, toothpaste and shower stuff was likewise a nice surprise. For the price we paid the service was beyond excellent.

BelgiumBeware, the hotel deducts the first day's fee (deposit) and then deducts the entire stay including the first day! You had to ask to be reimbursed. This was the case in another hotel of the same group. Make sure you check your payments on site. Otherwise you may end up paying twice.
