Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeToilet bowl choked twice (first night and third night) even though we barely threw any toilet paper into the bowl. But they came to rectify/plunge it asap. One night the heating system was also down and we had an ice cold shower in the cold night so that was not great either. But they said they were looking into it asap. Shower area also has no door so the water will spread all into the toilet floor and it doesn’t drain fast enough so you’ll have a mini flood unless you use towels to build a little ledge to soak up the water.
Location was great between two stations which were both interchanges. Near the Cheonggyecheon stream too. Staff were friendly and responded fast to requests and issues. Space was comfortable and all basic amenities given (minus disposables like toothbrush and toothpaste).

NetherlandsPlease be aware that if you book this hotel, you will most likely will NOT get the room that you've booked (and paid for). We booked a room of 20 m2 , but when we arrived the hotel gave us a room of 11 m2. This room was not the one we paid for, and it was so small that we couldt even open our luggage. It was very dissapointing to arrive at the room like this after a long flight. The hotel manager told us he could only give us the bigger room after 3 days (!). Also, he didnt looked suprised by the news that the room wasnt the one that we've booked, so I assume this happens more often.

United StatesWhen we were in a room, my kid accidently drop the strawberry on the sheet and it stained the bed sheet. At the time, I was not in the room so they immediately run to my grandma room and tell here. I think that is very dramatic and unnecessary. They could have just wait until I come back. When we check out, the guy in the front ask for 30,000 Korean won for the stain sheet since they said it can not be washed and they ask for cash from one of my family member without telling me. The room has a lot of wear and tear not like the pictures.
Lobby was nice and the location was good.

SingaporeThe room is small, it was near the pubs area. Night was quiet, but it didn't feel safe. The bathroom is small too, water splashed out when bathing. Price wasn't the lowest but room was too small.
The room was kinda cosy as it was small.

it has been a really pleasant, cozy stay at stayb hotel! we booked this hotel two days before our trip and stayb really exceeded our expectations! the room we picked were perfect to open and fit in our two luggages-twin room! the staff were very helpful and polite too, and were able to converse in english! i like that stayb is near to two train stations, chungmuro (blue line)and euljiro 3 (sam)-ga (orange line). def a convenient area! it's around 15 mins away by feet to myeongdong! or can consider to take mrt from chungmuro which is a stop away! there are quite a few eateries and a convenience store nearby as well! overall, a pleasant experience here! really enjoyed their rooftop garden! thank you will definitely recommend this hotel!

SingaporeHonestly, nothing!
Contrary to what some said, I had a great stay with StayB hotel. Arrived late on the day of check-in (near mid-night), my family was warmly welcomed by the owner himself. A nice gentleman, he carried no weight and took extra effort to orientate us, and making sure that we have nicely settled down before he made his departure. Despite being a 7 years old hotel, it is so well maintained. Our room was so clean and spacious. Felt so much like home. What's more impressive is that room cleaning service was done every day! Besides making our beds, bottled water and disposable slippers were regularly topped up. What is also commendable is the owner himself, giving us good advices whenever he saw us, including where to go and where to eat. We felt so pampered for this trip! And yes, the location of this hotel so centralised that is right smacked between 2 Train lines, making our traveling very flexible. This is the first and will definitely NOT be last time that I will stay with StayB hotel. Thank you for making our first family trip in Korea a great and unforgettable one! We will be back!

United StatesThe hotel was rated as a 4 star hotel, which it absolutely was not in any way. I’ve stayed in Holiday Inns that were nicer than this. Check in was pretty difficult, and the front desk wasn’t super helpful. We dropped our key (the plastic card) while in the elevator, which then dropped down the shaft. They made us pay $20+ for a replacement. There was also a fight outside overnight, and when we left in the morning there were two huge puddles of blood.
The reception space was nice and the location was close to public transit.
