Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGreat location with very friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay at Green Fig, and loved the ease of being able to organise excursions through the hotel, especially with Kelsey's knowledgeable help. Our room had a great view of the Petit Piton, which was wonderful to wake up to each morning!

United StatesI kept reading this in reviews and I will repeat it: the stairs to breakfast (or anytime you are leaving the hotel) are very steep and tiring; especially in the heat/humidity. I’m a pretty fit person and it would sometimes be a little challenging for me too, so do take this into account when booking the room. Parking: I didn’t see too many reviews about this but the entrance to the hotel is off an inclined road, is single lane (so cross your fingers another car isn’t trying to exit) and very rocky + uphill. The parking area isn’t great either and fits maybe 6 cars. The reason for all of this is because the hotel literally sits on a mountain; if you take a boat trip on the sea you will be able to see your room/hotel built amongst the trees of the mountain. I just wish they would’ve done better paving the entrance/exit and a proper parking lot (i.e. be careful not to park too close to the edge of the parking lot).
The room was exactly as in the pictures; very spacious, a lot of light passing through during the day, and importantly great views of the Petit Piton and Caribbean Sea. It was my partner’s birthday too and the team at Green Fig made sure to fill the bed with balloons, champagne, and a birthday sign upon arrival to the room; it was our personal favourite moment.

United KingdomThe stairs. We were in one of the rooms at the bottom and are not particularly fit. However, all is forgiven as the room was amazing and the view was to die for!
The stunning view, the location near the town of Soufriere, beautiful beaches, botanical gardens, drive-in volcano and mud baths.

United StatesThe one low spot was lunch and dinner at the resort. It was pretty mediocre for the price so didn’t return for it. Generous breakfast though. They offer to arrange transfers and tours which is convenient but many of these things can be arranged independently for a cheaper price.
The property is very pretty with great views over Soufreire and Petit Piton. The main pool area and bar are great for hanging out in the afternoon. Our room was even better than photos with a ton of space and loft bed for our daughter. Killer views. Most of the staff are great, but Onion the bar tender is a riot. Make sure to spend some time with him in the evening.

United KingdomBeware of the mosquitos! We should have realised that picking a hotel on the hillside in the trees would mean more mosquitos than by the beach, but we were bitten constantly during the first night. We then asked for a mosquito net and the second night went much better. It would have been nice if the room had been treated and set up with a net when we arrived. The included breakfast was good but a bit light on options. We drove there and the path to the car park was a difficult drive. Being up on a steep hill made it difficult to walk to and from town, which was a shame because it isn't far but there is no pavement so the walk is dangerous, especially at night.
The view was absolutely stunning from every spot on the property and the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was good and the hotel offered helpful minibus transfers to a variety of locations.

United KingdomService charge of 10% on absolutely everything really whacked up the cost. Wouldn’t mind if it went to the staff, but not sure it does. Be prepared to add at least that to the cost of your holiday. If you ask them to book a taxi, they charge an extra 10%. Book a tour- extra 10% + tourism levy. Very much marred what could have been an amazing holiday.
The food was always fabulous. Nice selection for buffet breakfast. Daughter had pancakes & French toast which were both delicious. The lunches & dinners were equally tasty. Staff were always friendly & happy & clearly had a good rapport with each other. Made all the guests feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Would go back in a heartbeat

United StatesThis property was way overpriced for what we got. It provided way less that the swanky all-inclusive on-the-beach hotel we came from elsewhere on the island, but it cost us lots more. Of course, this is on us as we chose to visit at high season and knew the price point before we came. Had breakfast been better (fuller service included in the room price with a rotating menu, I think we would've been more satisfied with the high room cost).
This beautiful boutique hotel had amazing rooms with spectacular views. I get the sense that each room is unique, which I really loved. Great onsite bar tender. I loved the fact that the property had three pools, so guests staying in different parts of the property up and down the hillside all had easy, quite private access uncrowded pools. The smaller size of this resort made it intimate. Food at the restaurant was consistently high quality. And, the room was dreamy with lots of space and charm (aside from the incredible views). The town is right below the resort, which is another reason we stayed there (didn't want to get stuck eating a one location every night without taking a taxi.

United KingdomThe dinner menu was sparce. Limited fish options. But mostly the chefs refusal to provide a side dish of fries to our dinner order. The question is Why. He was not too busy as the restaurantwas half empty,. After paying $500 plus a night for our room we would have thought a side order of fries was not too much to ask for him to cook. Obviously it was. Management Comments please.

United StatesI think it’s a terrific place to stay in the Soufriere. You do have to be willing to walk up and down steps unless you’re able to get a room closer to the pool.
I stayed in two different rooms both of which were extraordinary, room 511 and room 102. Both rooms had charm and uniqueness with fabulous views of the ocean and the mountains.

20/10 I can’t say enough great things about Green Fig. You are one with nature at this resort. Which includes being willing to get in some cardio exercise regularly (there are lots of stairs). Well kept up daily. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing vibes. Incredible staff members. The saying goes “the west is the best,” which lives up to its name. Soufriere is majestic!

United KingdomYes the steps up and down the resort do require a certain level of physical fitness and mobility, and walking to and from Soufriere also gives you a workout but that justifies a rum punch at the end of it!
A unique resort, the view of the Piton is spectacular, friendly and helpful staff, really good food and terrific cocktails! Room was spacious, very comfortable, well stocked and replenished daily. The mini fridge was a decent size and perfect for our needs.
