Harbour Vista Inn is located in Castries, just walking distance away from the Main Harbor & Ferry services. The view overlooking downtown Castries is spectacular, & the rooms are clean & comfortable. Breakfast is available upon request. Overall, Harbour Vista Inn is a great place to relax & enjoy the beautiful Island of St Lucia. Great host, beautiful place!

The location to the Ferry terminal was in ose proximity. Our Ferry was delayed and we arrived back in Castries late at night. The host was very kind to send a private taxi to get us from the terminal.

The manager tried hard (talking) to make my experience better. However, the high price cannot be justified given the small rooms and location right behind the city's slum (which the manager did not bother to mention when asking about security). Instead of honestly helping his guests, the manager works with crooked taxi drivers who charge double the normal price. I feel being cheated and bluntantly lied to.

Had a lovely stay here with no problems, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was great - not too far from town (about a 15 min walk from the centre, just down a very steep hill!) so good access to the bus system that can take you round the island. And the view of Castries from the balcony is breathtaking. Will definitely return and stay longer someday soon.

Property is very dated and felt more like a hostel than hotel. Perhaps my expectations were mismanaged but it serves as a very basic and functional stay, but seemed a pricey for what it is. There’s also no lift and the staff don’t help you with the luggage.

Location to the ferry and central Castries, only a short walk away. Basic but clean.

if you have heavy suitcases you need to consider a taxi to get to the ferry terminal as the structure is on top of a steep hill.

James is a great host, very helpful and available. the rooms are nice with everything you need. The flat is located just above the ferry terminal.

It is close to the ferry, but it's not walkable to the ferry so no advantage there. We could have stayed in a nicer, easier to find place (for a few more dollars) and had the same need for a taxi to get to the ferry. The hill is simply too steep to carry luggage up or down,. The place in interesting and not bad, but hard for drivers to find. Also - we were asked if we wanted a breakfast before leaving and we assumed that it was included as many hotels do these days. The breakfast was okay, not great, but then as we were leaving we were told we had to pay $14 each for the breakfast. We should have been told that before we agreed. It wasn't worth it,.

The first room I was given had no window. I complained and was given a room with a window. The rooms were small and claustrophobic. The bed was not comfortable. The hotel was overpriced. The bathroom was shared, (though I was the only one using it that night). I paid $20+ US dollars less for places with far better rooms in St.Lucia. It was up a steep hill so carrying lots of luggage may be uncomfortable.

It was close to the ferry to Dominica. There was a lovely view from the balcony. The property was clean and staff friendly. There was a kitchen and living room area guests could use.

Contacted owner to arrange airport pick-up and that was there on arrival and we would never have found it on own - crazy drive up to location but WHAT A VIEW !! Nothing too much trouble for owner and he organised taxi to take us to a restaurant he recommended - The Coal Pot - DEFINITELY GO - 15 minutes by taxi from here past airport. Fabulous breakfast included - very laid back and would be great base for a few days in the area.

Access advice of the location of this property is not ideal for elderly with walking or stamina problems, no lift and 32 steps to climb is quite a challenge. Its location is on a hillside even access by taxi on a bumpy road is narrow and not easy, Security care and route selection is advised if walking through the local housing. Our room had no handy storage space, awkward steps into the bathroom and a one person small seating room. Room TV is not ideal and difficult to use.

Staff and help available was very good. Location for port area views are excellent. The manager was very helpful in assisting and supplying locally sourced ginger drinks for my wife who was unwell throughout our complete stay. Meals requested were ample and always enjoyable. The air conditioning unit was excellent. The property has a comfortable and impressive lounge seating area.

The place of the house is fabulous: really 7 minutes from the ferry. The general area is huge and beautiful, and the view from the balcony is wonderful. The room was spotless and James, the owner, really helpful. Very nice place, indeed.

Bed was a bit small. Air conditioner didn't work but I don't think we would have used it anyway.

View of the Harbour. We arrived by ferry and this hotel is the closest to the terminal. They even picked us up in a shuttle so that we didn't have to walk up the steep hill with our luggage. James cooked us breakfast the next morning.

Its on a hill, but you have to be elevated to have a nice view.

The property is clean and has an extremely nice view of the water and Castries. The host is extremely nice, knowledgeable and approachable. The location is great. It is located at walking distance to restaurants, markets and ferry port. Very fast internet.

Dark rooms which made it feel claustrophobic. Strange set up with Aircon . Mosquitos present .
