Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLovely detached home just 4 minutes from the village centre with views out to sea. Auntie Annie, the host, was lovely and so helpful and genuinely friendly. There is plenty of room, it’s very clean and facilities are more than adequate for a stay on the island.

United KingdomWe were a group of three adults and one child, and we had a fantastic stay at this property. The place is just as it appears in the pictures, very close to the beach, local bars, and great places to eat. Anna, the host, is an absolute gem! She is incredibly welcoming and ensures that you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Our return flight was late (around 10 PM), and Anna kindly allowed us to stay in the property until 8 PM that evening, free of charge, which was really thoughtful. A car is definitely a must if you want to explore the area, and it’s a fantastic part of St. Lucia, away from the big hotels, cruise ships, and crowds. Many people warned us about the roads before we came, but in my opinion, you just need to use your common sense. If you've driven in places like India, North Africa, or even some parts of Italy, you'll be absolutely fine! Long story short, fantastic host, great place, and I would highly recommend it!

CanadaNothing, like it all.
The main thing I liked about this place was that the hosts are TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. I had rented a car, but St. Lucia is a really hard place to drive, particularly at night. When I reached close to the place, I accidentally got my car in a ditch in the drain to the side. The host's sister, the lady in charge came and searched for me late in the night and then organized 4 strong guys to push the car out of the ditch onto the road. She was FANTASTIC. She was even great in the small matters such as leaving the AC on and bottles of water, which most places in the Caribbean don't do. Even on the second day she was responsive to assisting me. I very rarely give a perfect 10 score and write in such detail, but this experience definitely justifies it.

BelgiumMz Anna is an extremely friendly host and she was there to welcome me upon my arrival. The cottage is very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and airconditioning in the bedroom. The beach is about 250m downhill, and there's a few restaurants and a little shop. At night the neigborhood goes completely quiet - the best guarantee for a good night's sleep.

United KingdomThere are a few dogs guarding properties on the short walk home and some would bark at you - not a problem except some would come a little on the road to do that. We didn’t feel unsafe, but our children didn’t like that. This isn’t a negative, just to set expectations for others. Laborie is a place to come and chill and to get a more genuine local experience. It isn’t a place to expect lots of western facilities - shops, restaurants, etc. It’s a brilliant place to get off the beaten track and relax, to find out more about what St Lucia is really like.
Anna is a lovely person and did everything she could to help us during our stay. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, with aircon on both bedrooms and a powerful fan in the lounge - the kids enjoyed it in there watching TV when we were inside. Location is great, just 5 minutes from the beach.

United KingdomFantastic location, friendly and welcoming neighbours, I felt like I was at home by the end of my stay. Nice distance from laborie shops and restaurants, 7min walk to the beach. Very well looked after holiday home, great kitchen and cooking facilities. The outside space was looked after too. The host, auntie anna, made myself and my son feel so at home! She went above and beyond as a host, checking in with us throughout our stay in laborie and having lots of knowledge on the area. We will definitely be back!

United KingdomThis was our second stay at Aunty Anna's Juju's Cottage - we stayed when we first arrived in St Lucia on 1 Jan, and returned for our final two days (having also travelled to Guadeloupe, Dominica and Martinique). She is a most wonderful and friendly host who went the extra mile to welcome us into the friendly Labourier community. She also made arrangements with Wycliffe, a local taxi driver, for all our internal travel requirements whilst on St Lucua and he - like Aunty Anna - was a very friendly and welcoming / helpful person making our time in St Lucia so easy and relaxing. Wonderful place, and a wonderful host - highly recommended if you want yo stay in the Labourier area and feel genuinely in with the local community who are so friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomMy only thing was limited seating on balcony area. I could only sit there for a very short period as seats were quite hard. Would have liked a seat I could lounge in.
We were self catering. Property was well equipped with everything necessary. Views were good but very limited view of the sea owing to tree in garden next door.

Our host, Aunty Anna, was the most wonderful host, and her place was exceptional in every way. She arranged taxis as requited and made us most welcome. The cottage was a brilliant t place to stay after our flight from the UK, and we enjoyed chilling out in Labourier, where it really felt to be living and experiencing real local life and culture. We will be back on our way home - and would highly recommend staying at Juju cottage. Oh and having air conditioning in the bedroom was very much appreciated.

United KingdomWe stayed here for 2 nights in August. Very easy to find, in a quiet secluded area but a 3 minute walk to the village with all the shops, restaurants, bars and beach nearby. It's a very clean, fully equipped first floor apartment with panoramic views from the balcony of the Caribbean sea. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of towels are provided. In the mornings we had the beach entirely to ourselves. Highly recommended.

United StatesThis has nothing to do with Juju's Cottage, but there is no ATM machine in Laborie. Come with your cash or you will have to go to Vieux Fort to use an ATM.
Auntie Anna is a Great Host. Our friend mentioned cassava bread, and to our surprise and delight, she brought us some as a gift on her way to church the next morning. Every thing we wanted was within short walking distance, shopping, beach, bars eating joints etc.

United KingdomWe were comfortable and had more space than we expected, but it’s worth mentioning that only one bedroom has air conditioning. We visited during the summer when it was very humid.
Lovely location in the quiet fishing village of Laborie. Close to beach and small local shops, and a good base to explore the south of the island with a car. Clean and has all the kitchen bits you need. Aunty Anna is a wonderful host, full of warm welcome and local recommendations.

I am a 27 year career burned out nurse found this perfect place to regroup and reflect and find some peace. The seclusion with short walk to 3 beaches and the village. Mama Tilley's had the best food and was open daily and always welcomed me. Loved chatting with her and the locals. Beautiful view from the balcony. Aunty Anna was an exceptional host and a wealth of information. Very clean and roomy cottage with breezes from the ocean. Loved every minute!

United KingdomIn terms of value for money, location and a great host it just does not get any better than this.
Breakfast was not included (and not wanted needed since we were self-catering) but our host Aunty Anna told us where to buy the best bread we had on Saint Lucia. We also loved the location with a great view over the Caribbean, a really short walk to the town centre where we could buy what we needed and about a fifteen minute walk to one of the best sandy and unspoilt beaches on the island.
