Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesUnfortunately it rained 2 out of 3 days during our stay in late January, make sure you pack an umbrella and sugar there's no sugar on the island for like a year now although they had some here. Non of this is the fault of the hotel. The drive up is typically as bumpy as you can imagine only much much worse so I hope you rented the 4x4. Speaking of driving you will definitely need a car to get around the island or expect to spend a lot of $$$ on taxis. Basically 1 taxi ride will pay for a local car rental, rent from a local much cheaper and better. Brits will have no problem driving, Yanks, depends on your driving ability and experience are you a Nervous Nellie or Steve McQueen pp ? Do you have a car at home that you drive? Then why wouldn't you rent one when you travel? True the roads are bad and twisty and the locals drive fast. I had no problems.
The VIEW. The upstairs bar, the pool. Did I mention the VIEW? The accommodations are a little small, basically a small room with kitchenette and small bathroom. A little rough around the edges but this is island style and quite cute, very clean and cosy, all you need to cook is provided. There's a Massy supermarket about 10 min drive southeast part of town. You can see the blue roof from your balcony, you know the one with the AMAZING VIEW.

United StatesVery little horizontal space for your stuff in the room (hotel owners please note). Use nightstands for clothes.
Small boutique lodging choice, only 8 rooms. Private quiet location with stunning views from the property and rooms.

CanadaBreakfast was just ok, and there wasn't an on-site restaurant, so you have to drive to town for any meal.
The view from our Villa Suite was stunning. View from the pool is also fabulous. Room was spacious and comfortable.

United StatesThe only thing I noticed was that the air conditioner filters should be cleaned more regularly for good air flow.
It exceeded our expectations. The view was like looking at a backdrop. The staff is very accomodating, helpful and friendly. They are able to assist with transfer and bookings. Easy peasy!! Tonya makes a great breakfast. Snacks are available. Beach towels in room. Fully stocked kitchen. Warm shower. Clean rooms. Pool was spectacular. Million dollar at an affordable price. Must stay here.

United KingdomIt’s a little way out of the town, so unless you hire a car, the only real way to go for dinner is by taxi, which adds up.
The views are breathtaking and the room was gorgeous - really big comfortable bed!

CanadaSome of the surfaces outside the office were slippery when wet and there was one towel rack in our bathroom which stuck out into the doorway. It had a pointy end which caused an injury to my husband's arm. There were also some goats tethered behind our unit, which bleated most of the night.
Staff were exceptionally helpful, even arranging for my husband to see a doctor on our first day there. The view of the Pitons was lovely.

United KingdomNothing - its a wonderful place. A few bits may be a little 'tired' - that seems to be common for lots of properties on the Island - but that wont spoil your visit and nothing detracts from the views....The following points may help. Get a hire car (Suzuki Jimmy is best - you'll be glad of the ground clearance as you explore the wonderful Island) - the property is remote and you'll need it to get to most restaurants/hikes/attractions/snorkelling spots and nature hikes. Signage to hotel is not good - as you head North on the winding uphill road out of Soufriere look for the large Columbrette Drive sign on the left - then go up the rutted unpaved track for 100m and Samfi Gardens is the first turning on the left. In daylight its simple, if you arrive after dark its a little more tricky... The on-site shop has a few basics but stop at a Massy's supermarket to get essentials (Piton beer, rum etc) for a nightcap on the balcony plus snacks and bottled water....
The view - its amazing of Pitons by day and illuminated Soufriere by night (from the nice balcony or simply from out of the patio doors whilst lying on the bed). The peacefulness of the location - tree frogs and crickets and the odd bat by night. Staff are friendly. Facilities are good - although 'coffee making' means a tube of instant coffee.... Treetops restaurant is 5 minute walk - an expensive-but-worth-it treat - get Samfi to book as you're more likely to get a top table... Pool is nice to cool off. Eat at Sea Breeze, be wary of Orlandos (over priced - its sadly not currently living up to the hype) snorkel at Anse Chasternet (park at resort - there public access to beach and reef to LHS of bay is just off the platform and the fish there are amazing) and drive to the near-by tourist attractions....

United KingdomA tough walk up from the town below. You need a car but the final part of the drive up is also a steep gravel road with lots of bumps and pot holes.

United KingdomWe liked everything, definitely would come back. Best to hire a car though and we wish they'd have served food!
Excellent place, lovely staff, unbelievable views (even better than the photographs), beautiful pool and seating area. The room we had was perfect, very quiet. Very good location for all of the brilliant tourist activities south St Lucia has to offer (best stuff in the south). Also lots of raptor action if you like birds of prey

Dominican RepublicWe had our own car, I think really recommendable, so you can go and buy your food and go to restaurants, as there is a small kitchen, but there is not much to buy at the shop (only cans), no fresh fruits and vegetables. And there are so many great restaurants and things to do around. Especially all the things to do are easy to do without an organized tour. There is like a common area (almost like a restaurant), but it would be great to have that a bit upgraded with comfortable couches or hammocks so one can spend some time there reading or working. Internet also did not work very well, as both my friend and myself are virtual workers, so we did need internet, but it really was a bit challenging. And if you go to the common area/balcony, there was almost no internet.
That view!!! You wake up, open the door and see the pitons!

United KingdomNothing the hotel was perfect, however, slightly better parking/signs for parking could be helpful.
This is by far one of the best places you can stay in St Lucia. The hotel is located in the hills above Soufrière, a perfect location to explore all the amazing activities St Lucia has to offer. I would say it is helpful if you have your own car as nothing is within walking distance. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, the place is super clean and the view is just breath taking. The rooms are lovely, with incredible amenities.
