Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBuffet breakfast at Embers was disappointing - cooked sausages, bacon etc which should have been hot, were cold.
Newly refurbished ocean sea room 119 had a fresh modern feel about it and a good balcony with nice views. Plenty of sun-beds on the beach with served cocktails!

United StatesThe hot water didn't work in the shower initially but it was fixed. The staff offered to change our room but me and my wife loved the view of our room so much that we decided to stay.
I loved the location and convenience of the Hibiscus Villas we stayed in. The staff was very nice and respectful. It started off a little rough but the staff more than made up for it. Me and my wife loved it so much that we purchased a time share.

United KingdomDue to the location being quite remote, windjammer makes the most of their isolated clientele by charging what they want in the shops. No toothbrush in the room so you have to buy one from their extortionate shop for example. Shower pressure was terrible but balanced out with a nice bathtub
Windjammer is an absolutely gorgeous villa-style hotel on a picturesque beach. The staff are incredible and the facilities are great. We mentioned it was our honeymoon and received a beautiful congratulations decoration on the bed Quite geriatric, so recommended more for families and older holidaymakers. If you’re looking for party central, not so much

NetherlandsThe prices at the bar, restaurant and shop are triple the normal prices. So we took a taxi (= USD 30) every day to eat somewhere else in the Rodney bay area. The breakfast is very american with pancakes, wafles, sausages and stuff like that and we don't like it. There is a lot of noise everywhere: lawnmowers and blowers every day starting at 9 AM, aqua gym with huge speakers, loud live music also in the restaurant next to the appartments area. After 5 meters in the sea, the bottom is very rocky, so you need swimming shoes.
The location is perfect. The beach is very nice. The staff is very friendly. The appartment was spacious and clean.

United KingdomFood and drinks were very expensive as was the spa, which was a shame as they all make a holiday. All inclusive may be a better option.(shock…. 40 American dollars for 2 tiny yogurts, 6 beers and a bag of crisps at the grocery shop.) Was noisy with drilling going on throughout the week, unfortunate for us. Lovely friendly staff but communication was a bit lax at times.
Pretty location, enjoyed the beach areas, plenty of sun beds with umbrellas and complimentary treats, plentiful breakfast looking out over the sea which was great. Room was large, colonial style, with walk in shower. Check in was well organised, cool drink on arrival. Great live entertainment and plenty of water sports and games to join in with. On leaving shower room was made available to use which was good.

United KingdomThe hotel was much more isolated than we thought which was fine however would need to get taxis anywhere out of the hotel which could become pricey. We ended up staying in the hotel area most of the time because of this
Most of the staff were really friendly. We ended up having to change rooms due to noisy people downstairs but the hotel accommodated us and was able to get a bigger room for no additional charge which was fantastic.

United StatesDinner options could have been improved. Less sweet drink options and more wine, after a day it is hard to keep drinking sweet mixed cocktails. Room has two twin beds as the option- was small and needed to be updated- wish there was a two queen option.
Great location and good breakfast. I didn't get all inclusive option so we could explore the island. Loved the lily pads in the water to lounge on (water is rocky getting in) Spa treatment was lovely, got the body treatment with massage. Staff were very friendly!

United KingdomBeach attendant was very surly- not a friendly person at all. Certain staff appeared to be very patronising - don’t know if was because we were from the UK and the majority of guests were from USA and had different standards? On checkout they attempted to charge for the breakfast which was included in the room rate.

Canadawe liked the meals we had at Papa Dons were always good. We had the fish, spaghetti, Penne, and pizzas The food at the Dragonfly was not enjoyable. We had the apricot salmon which was very fishy on the first bite then I removed the skin which also had the nice apricot glaze on it. So I had plain salmon with a sweet i think Couscous or rice which I also didn't like. My husband tried the snapper which had loose fish scales that was a gross texture on the tongue. We never went back to try anything else. The casual dining at the pool was good. I had a great burger and fries. The fish and chips was a little disappointing, it was 3 small greasy pieces of battered fish. The fries were good. The prices were sky high in all the restaurants. All in American dollars too!
The staff was always so friendly Over the top friendly. They were good ambassadors for the Island of St Lucia The breakfast was always good Lots of choice too. We also enjoyed eating at Papa Don's for breakfast. It was much more relaxing and quiet there. The breakfast at the beach had beautiful views of the water. You get a lot of exercise at this resort if you do not take the shuttle up to the rooms and down to the water, beach and buffet breakfast. The incline leaves a good burn in your leg muscles. Ordered Pizza to our room twice.
