We went in the end of november and the activities that were advertised weren't available at all. A lot of humidity and molt in the room, but I guess it was expected

The people from the reception were very nice, ready to help. Breakfast and the food from the restaurant was good. The jungle envolving the hotel was beautiful.

The cocktails were hit and miss. One of our meals was disappointing at dinner (mushy soft prawns) but all the other meals were perfect. The pool was also full of bugs, so we chose not to swim.

The staff were lovely, the place was absolutely beautiful and my family generally enjoyed our stay. I would come back and stay again for an authentic Sri Lankan experience.

More attention on cleaning. It is true that it is located in the jungle, so you need to be flexible (eg monkey noises on the rooftop if you have the room on the first floor), but we found a cockroach that then entered a luggage. Only after this episode the room was cleaned in depth, especially the bathroom

Not enough sun beds by the pool. Also, didn't really like the musician coming to individual tables at evening meal.

We loved the setting in the jungle, the pool was nice and big and the food was varied and delicious. Great location for climbing Lion Rock (10 mins) and the National Parks where we saw over 100 elephants on safari.

Poor equipment, AC is noizy , bathroom have too old equipment, water leaking from shower, ants and even frogs will come take the shower with you.

Room is large, and confortable, environments is a beautiful lovely forest, and rooms are spread over small buildings or bangalo on the forest.

Pool had leafs, sticks and insects and the filter was not running. We only seen someone cleaning the pool in the morning, even after that filter not used, so the water get cloudy when we use the pool. No poolside person available. Food was okay, but bit salty

The property was amazing, you feel like you're in the jungle. They have even had an elephant come to the pool once! Unfortunately, we didn't get to experience that. The pool area is beautiful. Rooms were large and beds were comfy. Kids enjoyed the DVD selections. I enjoyed the spa service which was so relaxing. Booked an Elephant Safari which was fantastic! So much fun and a must do for anyone visiting.

Great area in the middle of nature. The staff was very kind. Food was very good. Even some wild elephants were near the hotel area. It is a very good place to relax.

The bathroom is dark and dirty. The daily cleaning was made, but the walls were extreme dirty (little gecco poops were everywhere on the wall). We had a small frog in our shower during our 3 nights stay and we could see on wall where this frog came down and climbing up in the corner because of its dirty footprints. I am expecting more from a five star hotel or for the price we paid.

The hotel is in the middle of a forest, I would only recommend for travellers with transportation. We had a driver as we were aware of the location. The common areas (lobby, restaurant, swimmingpool) are really nice, however the rooms specially the bathrooms need a renovation. Our room was nice and big. The food (we had breakfast and dinner as well) was tasty and the staff was also kind. The swimmingpool is also warm which was very nice after a hot day.

Shower Little rusty

Great place, in the Forest, in the middle of Forest. Very quiet, only sounds from nature (birds and monkeys). Restaurant with good variety of food, very tasty. Rooms clean, because of big humidity shower Little rusty, but clean. Great pool. We recommend for quiet stay to relax.

I believe some of the rooms need more ventilation as its staring to have a smell. I believe the windows are kept closed to keep mossies out.

its very isolated unless you have transport, there is not a lot else around and the road leading to the hotel is well worn and probably not suitable if you have any mobility issues although tuk tuks are available and can be arranged by reception.

staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly, very willing to help with organising sightseeing trips. breakfast choice was very good and cooked well ,as was the evening buffet . Very quiet hotel , swimming pool was very good if not a little cold compared to some but i think that is because it is well shaded by the forest trees . rooms were very large and clean and the aircon worked well.
