The shortcut to the town is a bit of a trek but going through and meeting the lovely people living in homes off the stairs was a bonus.

Absolutely stunning views. The grounds are fantastic. The house is so elegant. Nice hot shower. No need for a/c. Charming hostess. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.

I thought the water pressure was low for my liking. The pipe system in general was not my favorite.

The hotel was close to town. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty. Mr. Amarasinghe is a great host. Very friendly and helpful. He arranged meals for us and provided everything we asked for without any hesitation., even a phone charger :-)

The location is a bit ambiguous. The first time I walked to the accommodation, it was difficult, so I took a tuk-tuk the next time. Instead, it's secluded and the locals are lovely.

The owner was really friendly and the accommodation was comfortable. Breakfast was also great.

The nest is a beautiful, calm place to stay. Very good alternative to the touristy city Ella. The breakfast is amazing (eggs, different kinds of fruit, jam, warm toast) and the Rice and curry was very tasteful! Also the owner is very helpful, for example with my bus to Arugam Bay or recommending a hike in the area.

The first thing to say is the connection through the booking.com app. Being able to talk to them about my arrival times and facilities in a very friendly manner. I was early check in and they arranged it for me without any problem. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. They had prepared the breakfast very deliciously. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great value for money. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. She arranged the Tuk Tuk to visit the sunrise at Lipton's Seat and even packed us a breakfast to go.

Energy of the place is amazing, the breakfast is great and the owner and his mother very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic bit nice and have a balcony. The garden is beautiful. Strong wifi in the common area, not in my room. I stayed longer and can highly recommand the place.

Hot water heater is placed really high that it is impossible for someone under 5’8 to turn it on. Either move the placement or provide a step stool. There is no heater in the room. Only single fleece blankets are provided. We asked for top sheets as we were not confident the blankets were laundered earlier. Providing a top sheet (more hygienic) and a double blanket for the double bed would make this place even more comfortable.

Nice view from the room and close enough to the city centre. Room seems to have been updated and the small balcony is lovely. Mint of the Mist restaurant is close to this place and we loved the food and view at this restaurant.

For the price of the night, nothing needs to be improved. Great value for money again.

The white room is simple and nicely decorated. The bathroom is small but clean and the shower has a door which doesn’t seem to be too common in Sri Lanka. Hot water was readily available. The bed is comfortable and we had a good night sleep, although we recommend to provide a queen or king size blanket instead of two single ones. Breakfast was decent enough. The host Sam is friendly and helpful, he showed us the way to town through a shortcut on the train tracks; that was a fun experience ☺️ Try the food at his restaurant Lettuce and Cabbage, it’s pretty good and the band that was playing was great as well!

The nest is a lovely place with great view. The mother of Mr. Amarasinghe was hosting me and she was very kind. The room was very clean, comfortable and great living room downstairs to chill. It is quite close to the railway station and supermarket. Overall I think it was a great value for money. I will come again with my family. Thank you.

The staff are wonderful. I must mention Bushbar who was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We had a delicious takeaway breakfast on checkout as we had an early train back to Colombo. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner very good. Location is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the main street of Haputale which we loved. Great place to stay with plenty of walking through the tea plantations and small villages. Liptons Seat is only an hour tuk tuk ride away - the full day walk back to The Nest is beautiful. Highly recommend if staying in Haputale.

This is a friendly guesthouse run by mother and son. It is situated in a lovely and quiet location with great views. It is away from the centre, but it is easy to walk into town in 10 minutes. You can have a good Western breakfast at any time you like, which includes eggs, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt... It is also possible to have rice and curry in the evening at a very reasonable price. The room is modern, spacious, comfortable with a nice balcony. The bathroom is nice and very clean. The shower has a door! This is the oldest guesthouse in Haputale and they know how to treat their guests well.

The road up to the property is steep and narrow. The view is not great.

The owner and the family were very pleasant people... They provided us with an exceptionally tasty breakfast. They were kind enough to provide us with extra blankets as it was too cold.

Big room with good beds, a warm shower and nice balcony. Mr Amarasinghe's helped with arranging transport to the Hortons plains and to Lipton's seat. You really feel at home here.
