This hotel has amazing views from the window. There’s a beautiful monastery up on the hill, and you can reach it by taking a secret forest trail instead of the main road. The area is perfect for walks around the tea plantations. The staff is very friendly, and for dinner, you can order delicious curry with rice, the guys here cook really well. If you want to visit Ella you can use tuk-tuk

The road to get there was very tedious, you cannot take a car easily, buses go on it but not advised to drive up, a 10 minute drive of bumpy and dangerous road with close encounters, since there is a famous temple upwards.

Not sure why the staff were unable to communicate to our driver how to get our large minivan up the hill with proper directions. This resulted in a very stressed transfer to tuktuk and an hour wasted. The road is actually in great condition, wide even on the hairpins and we saw many buses going up and down. Also limited food choices and staff were not so welcoming or very attentive.

the beds need some attention , fresh drinking water would be good .. no shampoo or conditioner .... more signage to the hotel on roads close to hotel , as it can be difficult to find ... thankfully indicated is most helpful in driving you into town or in our case finding us and taking back to the hotel , thank you we really enenjoyed our stay.

The roads up to the property are really bumpy and windy, so it’s difficult to get up especially as we were driving our own tuktuk. However it is possible, just something to note.

The accommodation is relatively basic, however the location is incredible in terms of the view. The sunrise is beautiful! Breakfast was also really nice and the staff are super helpful.

The view is phenomenal! Breathing. The staff is also very friendly and the breakfast is good. Definitely worth a night or two if you're passing by. Just remember that you'll need a tuktuk to the city due to its remote location.

There should be a TV facility but it was missing. Also as it is located in a remote area, there should be a good range of menu. But we found only limited food items there for dinner.

There were many insects so couldn’t enjoyed the night view in balcony as the hotel is in wild and is far from the city.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Ella, Sri Lanka. The hotel was excellent, and I had the best wake-up call of my trip with a stunning sunrise directly from my bed. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating.

I came for the view and it did not disappoint! The hotel is very out of the way but the staff were extremely accommodating, even going into town to get me a bottle of wine for dinner! The rooms are basic but clean and very large would have been nice to have spent more than I night there.

Location was out of town, very peaceful with incredible views just like the pictures! The staff were just incredible- so helpful, accommodating and informative. We arrived late and they picked us up from the station and took us to a restaurant before taking us to the property. Thank you Indika!

The fabric and furnishings were tired. It was the least clean place we have stayed at in Sri Lanka. When Indika was present you could be confident that any arrangements for breakfast time or lifts to Ella would happen as agreed. This wasn’t the case when he was not present.

The reasons for staying here are the amazing views and for all the help , assistance and brilliant one day tour Indika provides. The day trip was my husband’s highlight of the holiday. Waking up to sunrises over the astoundingly views is a never to be forgotten experience . Do however note that the property is high in the hills and takes about 20 mins to get to or from Ella.

It's a 20-minute tuk tuk ride into town. Room would benefit from new towels and a top sheet on the bed, which they did give us when we asked. There is no hot water in the morning. Overall, it is great value for money with great views of the mountains. I would recommend brisk ella retreat if you like somewhere away from the crowds .

It's a beautiful property. View from the room is stunning, you get the entire view of Ella town with the best sunset. Because of the location, you can star gaze easily too. We could see fireflies right outside our room. Also, the property has a water stream flowing by which gives a calming feeling. The staff, specially Indika who is the care-taker and also was our guide in Ella. Commuting was not a challenge as Indika helped us with their vehicles. He organised a day tour for was filled with Ella highlights and adventure. Our everyday breakfast was the best as it was very very elaborate and felt like home made Sri lanka food. Overall, a very serene stay at Ella!
