It was great... the staff were fantastic and so helpful, especially Mr Kanishka! He was hospitable, humorous and kind. Also... talk about a fab lentil curry at breakfast... we definitely indulged. And another thing... they opened breakfast early for us so we could get our train! Another plus... comfy bed!

Well arranged clean room and all the facilities are available even with Standard rooms. Friendly and supportive staff. Special appreciation for Miss Dilrukshi who cares clients requirements from the point of Reception until serving meals. She is very supportive staff in the hotel. We were arranged a delicious breakfast by them. In overall, hotel located in calm place and convenience to access Kandy city, super clean and comfortable, supportive staff and value for money. Highly recommended.

AustraliaHotel Cassandra sits in a highly elevated position out of town and it was a minimum 15 minute walk into the centre. Unless you want a serious workout I’d suggest a TukTuk back up to the hotel as the road is steep and the elevation high. The hotel has no elevators, only stairs and in a strange layout, but perhaps it is an older building. My first night was in a standard room which was located on the ground floor with a view of an external wall and a set of outdoor steps. I was able to be upgraded to a deluxe room the next night and I would suggest if you are staying here to choose a deluxe room if you want views of ang sort or be very clear you want a high floor. The deluxe room I stayed in was very pleasant although both the deluxe and particularly the standard rooms were noisy ..I suspect the hotel has single glazed windows only so expect traffic noise.

Yes, it's located about 10-15 minutes uphill out of the city centre, but a tutuk costs very little to get to/from the hotel and it's a good walk on a nice day. If you do choose to walk there is a wonderful viewpoint about half way down the hill which not many tourists seem to go to.
The room was a great size and very comfortable with fairly modern furnishings. The bathroom was clean and I felt the balcony was a great place to chill in the evenings. I ate at the restaurant both nights as it was brilliant and very good value too. The buffet breakfast was excellent too. The staff were very attentive and overall made the stay even better.

What a wonderful place to stay. I initially booked the cheapest room they had, which was more than adequate, but during the night there was the noise of a pump going on and off. In the morning I mentioned the noise, and they said they could turn it off. I thanked them and left it at that. When I returned after a day out the receptionist told me that the manger had said I could move to another room if I liked. They showed me the room, which was a big upgrade, and I agreed to move. They didn’t have to move me, but I am very grateful for the consideration and attention to detail.
