United KingdomThe hotel itself was very nice however upon arrival the staff told us that the rooms we had booked (two double rooms) needed last minute repairs on the bathrooms and that there were not enough available rooms left to give us two separate rooms. They suggested (almost insisted) that myself, my friend and our two other friends who are a couple instead all share one family room together. After a lot of back and forth in the reception we decided we would simply go to another hotel where we could get two rooms. However when we got up to leave they then changed their story and said we could have our original two double rooms - which were perfectly fine and did not need any repairs. We later found out that a lot of the hotels in the area try to trick groups into all staying in one room - for the cost of two!! Outrageous!

United KingdomEverything seemed like a big effort for staff. Difficult for them to organise us a Tuk Tuk or taxi or give change for money. Often ended up organising our own transport via Uber or Pick Me. This is the only let down.

CanadaIt was difficult to find the view of the lake since the hotel was set back quite a bit, although the surrounding Mountain View was very beautiful. Maybe on the description for the room, state obstructed view of Kandy Lake instead. I was expecting 180 degree view…
The location is quite close to the main Kandy town. Easy walk. The steepest portion is from the main road to the hotel, about 2 minutes. The entire walk uphill from town was 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. We stayed four nights, four breakfasts. The first two breakfasts were omlette, toast, pancakes and fruits with coffee. Then we had a buffet style breakfasts with local Sri Lankan dishes, which were very good. It also offered toast, pancakes. The staff who looked after the breakfast, Bob, was very helpful and attentive but not intrusive.

MalaysiaIt is located about 1 km from downtown Kandy but you do need a Tuk Tuk or other form of transportation to get there. It’s perched on a hilly slope with a great view and cooler weather especially in the evening and early morning. The reception staff was friendly, hassle free check in. Tuan, the front office manager was attentive and helpful. Gave some good tips about restaurants in Kandy. Our room was huge by any standard that I have seen in many countries. All in all a great place to stay.

United KingdomA bit far from the main area on top of a hill, so a bit of a workout if you’re not going to use Tuk Tuk, but not expensive if if you want to be dropped to bottom. But you do get a lovely view of Kandy.
The staff were really helpful when I needed a cab to my next destination, was using Uber to book a ride, they talked to the cab drivers when they were asking for more money. Lots of staff around if you need help with anything. Lovely view of Kandy

AzerbaijanI had an impression that the guy working at the reception does not understand in English, we several times asked for shampoo, shower gel ,he said say but did not bring anything.
The room was clean, wide and with all facilities. It has all facilities, good working air-conditioning, hair drier and kettle. The view from the hotel was very nice. Breakfast also was good. On the second day I asked for a sunrise egg and they prepared it 👍🏻

Hungary-we did not get the room what we booked, but the restaurant manager was very helpful and we could move to the originally booked room on the second night. -we stayed in 3 different rooms, one on the top floor was very loud as 2 different machines were humming alternately until late night and from early morning. The other two rooms’ bathroom windows were facing to the hotel’s inner corridor and food smell from the kitchen was coming into the rooms from 6am - even when the bathroom doors were closed our rooms was stinky from food. Also conversations from the lobby area were echoing in the rooms. -There are no chairs and a table on the balcony. -Hotel is quiet high on the hill, not an easy and short walk from the city, and you cannot really see the lake too. -Hotel looks better on the pictures then in real, quiet used, stained curtain, dirty walls and tiles.

Staff was amazing. When checking in a refreshing fruit drink was given to me. When I checked out I accidentally left a shopping bag behind. The staff gave me a call to tell me. After returning to retrieve my items the staff had safely hidden it away. I had a great experience.

AustraliaOnly stayed here because hotel advertised ‘free cots available’ for our baby to sleep on booking.com. On arrival we were advised that the one cot they own was ‘broken’ and therefore unavailable. We had a sleepless night as a result. We were not informed before arrival nor were we offered any options or assistance to rectify the issue. Cleanliness, particularly of floor not up to standard. Evidence of mould on pillows under pillowcases. Breakfast options very limited with no attempt made to cover food from bugs etc.
