Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United KingdomI was asked to pay for dollars at check in when I had Rupees that I wanted to use, I am from the UK so I don't carry dollars so I had use my credit card which made the room rate a bit more due to the currency exchange rate on my credit card.
very nice bed and bedding, the room is big and has a nice tv which works well, and it was nice to have a big bottle of water in the room. nice roof top bar with great staff with great views.

Excellent staff service- helpful, polite and responsive to my request for a quiet room with views. Large and comfortable room, within easy walking distance to shopping plazas, banks, parks and eating places. Superb views from bar. Great hotel as a solo woman traveller.

IndiaWe went to the roof top bar & restaurant on 26th floor. But terrace floor was flooded due to rains. Instead we had to sit inside the small covered bar. Service was prompt. But disappointed that there was no food served in the bar , except small snacks . We were sent to the restaurant below on 8th floor "Flavoured" for food . Once again here , we were disappointed here as they insisted on us to opt for a buffet. Alacarte was not served. Again - for food they were driving us away ( to the 3rd destination now) - the cafe on 1st floor. After expressing our disappointment with the " restaurant manager - Mr. SHANE " , he gave us some food with much hesitation. Such big group - Cinnamon Red hotel not serving Alacarte menu at it's bar & also main restaurant, didn't go well with us at all. We were even planning to go elsewhere to some other outside - restaurants !! The reception too needs more matured & trained professionals to carry out check in & check out formalities. Cinnamon Red , Colombo was the only hotel amongst the 9 hotels we visited in Srilanka during our trip , that did not offer a Welcome drink & a "cold towel". There was no welcome of any sort & surely the reception, lacked any warmth & made us feel unwanted.
Room was really comfortable & very nice. The sea view & city view was great. Floor was well carpeted. Good delicious breakfast. The egg station & Hopper station in particular was superb.

United KingdomThe price of a good coffee from the bar. We have now learned that so many hotels in Sri Lanka have not yet learned to simply put on some quality filter coffee every morning at breakfast. Instead I had to pay for a lovely latte which was really expensive and uses the proper decent coffee.
Wonderful, immaculate rooms with amazing views over the city. So quiet especially good when you are tired and jet-lagged. Plus absolutely amazing swimming pool in the sky and fab. Roof top bar with happy hour drinks at sunset. Perfect hotel for our first stop in Sri Lanka.

Sri LankaOnly issue was that booking.com stated a late checkout may be available. When I enquired with the hotel they stated that their policy is only 1 room can request late checkout (I had booked 2 rooms). This may be just the listing on booking.com needing an update.
The breakfast was great value for money. Plenty of options and food was fresh and tasty. Loved the omelettes and hoppers on request. Beds were comfy and overall the room was very clean.
