The staff incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. Bring your own towel because they will watch you like a hawk if you try to take a pool towel to to the beach or your room, they will follow you saying you can’t take the towel to your room. If you are wet it’s too bad They also do not assist with transfers. It’s definitely not worth the amount of money you pay. It was the most expensive hotel I stayed during my time in Sri Lanka and it was also my most unpleasant stay. The rooms could be cleaner

we booked a partial sea view room. But we could just see the side of the restaurant only. That was so disappointed. We had three meals at the hotel. Specially the dinner couldn't meet our expectations. There was a Mongolian rice and noodles and they were not tasty enough. I am wondering whether they are not tasting the food before bringing to the table. Cakes at the dessert corner was so thin. Dessert corner was like the they have give something to for desserts. Bread at the breakfast was not fresh enough. They were so dry and stuffy. Only the Sri Lankan corner was recommended.

I liked the location. It was so close with the beach. and seating facilities to watch the sea also good.

trip was on 11/12 but due un avoidable reason was plan to 13/14.tried to contact the property by an email as well as by phone. no reply. when i was there they didn't know about the class of the room. they arranged a couple room insted of triple dulux room. room was entirely different from booking.com photos.food was ok. but my car got scratch marks on bonnet and small damage on the edge of the bonnet. i didn't complainted because i was very disappointed about the property.i will not go again to citras-Hikkaduwa.Thanks

1. Food ( Break fast) spread is not good 2. Staff are more reserve 3. Rooms are not maintained well. 4. Their was a modification going on, and we get hammering noise every now and then. 5. Property cleanliness to be improves. 6. It's not a value for money deal.

The food could have had more variety in terms of sea food or action stations for a full house for dinner on the particular day.

Most of all I love the long deck of chairs and the bar like table just by the beach. .No other hotel had that though they were 5 star properties.

I stayed at Citrus Hikkaduwa on the 27th and 28th of September for one night with my family. We booked three rooms, and while our stay was pleasant, the food fell short of expectations. The main issue arose during breakfast on the 28th. We arrived at 8:30 a.m., well within the breakfast time frame (7:30 to 10:00 a.m.). One of the key breakfast items we were looking forward to was the string hoppers with fish curry. Initially, the chef assured us that they would bring it out soon, so we waited. After about five minutes, another chef came out with noodles, saying there were no string hoppers available. A senior chef then informed us that due to a higher-than-expected guest count, they had run out and were unable to provide more as they order string hoppers from outside. As a hotelier myself, I found this response unsatisfactory. Running out of a key breakfast item by 8:30, halfway through the service period, without a contingency plan is unprofessional. Guests should not be left without promised menu items, and the way it was handled lacked the discipline and guest expectations from a hospitality establishment.

I was ordered garlic bread, staff brought me some bread putting the garlic slices attach the pic FYR. Moreover, they we’re having only two pages of menu for everything. I can’t recommend this place to stay longer

- the buliding looked like it coulde use a renewal - the extra bed for the third person was broken and not comfortable at all

The Hotel was in close proximity to major attractions in the area. The room we stayed wonderful. The view of the ocean was really great. The breakfast buffet did not have much varieties but the food was really great. Last but not least, the staff was really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are totally different from what was shown in the website and very small. Eventhough we have paid for two days, we only stayed their for one night. Totally dissapointed since they dont have a refund policy.
