The view was definitely the best part! You really are in the clouds. The staff was very nice, breakfast also good! Only downside that there is so many steps to reach the place + very steep road, we were very scared while going up by Tuktuk! But this is the price for the beautiful view

Shower broke on my last day so I couldn't use the bathroom to my room and got little sleep from the water drops. Owner tried to fix it but couldn't manage it in the same night. He provided me with bathroom access to another room which was inconvenient for me but the best he could do in that situation. The problem should be resolved by now as I also saw that the other bathroom had different temperature controls. Missing AC but which I was aware of when I booked the room.

Amazing view from the balcony and in a nice quiet area away from Ella city in nature. Could walk down to Ella easily. The owner arranged transport to the train station so I didn't need to take care of it. Good Sri Lankan Breakfast. As I don't eat toast and marmalade they made me delicious Egg Hoppers and Roti among others. Some good local restaurants nearby. As one day it was really foggy I was provided with a torch so that I could go to the restaurant by foot.

Accessibility to the location… but it offers such a wonderful view so that compensates the accessibility. Its best if you rent a motorcycle during the stay so there won’t be any issue about the accessibility

Staff is extremely supportive and the manager at front desk is a lovely person. He drove his tuk tuk to help us reach the railway station at a very odd time.

Amazing stay at Golden View. The hosts are exceptional, they could not do enough for us. The views from this property are unbelievable. Highly recommend waking up early and watching the sunrise. Breakfast was also provided and really tasty with different options.

The name of the accommodation speaks for itself - if you stay at this place you truly see the olden view in the morning. Absolutely magnificent sunrise over little Adam’s peak and Ella rock. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious. Value for money!

Staff were very amazing. Breakfast was very tasty, we loved having the fresh fruit. The view was beautiful and the room was comfortable. It is outside of Ella but an inexpensive tuktuk to get up to a close stairwell up.

Absolutely nothing!

The hosts were amazingly kind and welcoming. They gave advice on where to go and what to see, and I also rented a scooter from them. The view from the place is just stunning, especially at sunrise. It is a little out of town so quiet and peaceful which is just what I wanted. Excellent value for money!

The road to the hotel is not for the faint of heart, but it’s totally worth it when you wake up and see the view.

In future I would probably stay less of a climb away from town, it can be very taxing and while there is a shortcut, it's still quite difficult. You can take a tuk tuk instead but in future since you will see views throughout Ella, there's no need personally to stay somewhere with such difficult access just for the view.

It was difficult to get to the location as some taxis struggle to drive up there. Thankfully the owner is happy to help if you just inform him in advance of your arrival or if you need help getting up/down

The best view of Dawn in the mountains. Nice view from the room and breakfast. Clean, neat, modest. There's really hot water here. Lovely friendly staff. Good breakfast.
