Really clean and well maintained. Polite people, nice and clean pool area. Good food. The rooms have really proper sound isolation and the AC works well. In contrary to other hotels, Hotel Heladiv looks better than the pictures show you. We had an amazing experience!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spacious enough. Any issues were quickly resolved by the staff. While the location is a bit far from the main attractions, it’s easily accessible by tuk-tuk or taxi. The swimming pool is clean and a perfect way to relax after a day of safari or temple visits. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel. We arrived and the staff waited for us to get all our staff making sure we were doing great. We were a little early so they arranged that we could check in earlier with a roomswitch next morning which was fine. At check-in they asked if we already planned thing to do otherwise they could arrange a guide for us. So we booked the guided tour who brought us to Mihintale in the same evening and the next day to the temples and stupas of Anuradhapura. The pool was great and definitely a pro after a tour in Anuradhapura! The staff was so kind and great, making sure everything was okay 24/7. The room was nice and clean the only con was the bathrooms of both rooms. The fist ones toilet was a bit loose and the second one was something leaking resulting in water in the ground. All in all it was a great stay and would recommend it 100%

We had the best stay at Hotel Heladiv. Our room was so clean and spacious and was as seen in the pictures. We enjoyed the food offered at the hotel and the best part of our stay was the amazing staff, they were so kind and helpful, making our stay even more amazing. We organised a tuk tuk tour and a Wilpattu safari through the hotel which I would also recommend, was very well organised! Our Tuk tuk tour was with Sawa who gave a very informative tour, was a lovely day out

Very nice and well-maintained hotel with very friendly staff and a relaxing pool. Room was good and hygienic, airco worked perfect! Nice garden and good restaurant for breakfast and lunch! Bit out of town, however very doable by Tuktuk and great starting point for some trips in the surrounding. They arranged a driver to the next destination, who was nice enough to support us in buying a new world power converter. Price-quality is very good! Well done team and highly recommended to stay.

My main problem was how far from town or anything else really the property was. My understanding of the description of the property's location that, yes, it was out of town, but a reasonable distance. The property said 4.9 miles; I don't think that it is correct. I regularly walk about that distance and no way could I have walked back to the hotel from the center of own (I tried); in fact, it took over 8mn in tuk-tuk going full board. I would not recommend this stay if you are a solo traveller; it is just too far from everything, and walking is not really an option. Additionally, one can visit all the ruines in one day. I read I needed two days at least so, I booked 4 nights, that was a mistake. I ended up leaving a day early but paying for the full stay of course. Regarding my room, I did not see a photo that accurately reflected the bungalow I was in. The room was smaller than expected - 301 feet; the bed was facing a dark brick and stone wall very close to the end of the bed, and it felt oppressive. The bathroom was small and certainly not looking like the photos the hotel posted; the shower itself was a bit grungy. I had to have the manager fiddle around to get the TV working every time I wanted to watch, and there was only one English speaking channel. Last but not least, the pillows were stuffed with something that felt like straw, and they were unyielding - very uncomfortable.

The property is efficiently run and very clean. One of the managers, Mr. Prosanna, I believe is his name, was absolutely the best in caring for the guests. He worked really hard from early morning - cleaning the grounds, serving breakfast, arranging tuk-tuks, taking care of special requests, until well after diner was over. Service was excellent. The property is very clean; the pool area is clean and well maintained - a great spot to rest from the heat.

Very nice and clean rooms, far above the general standards. Very nice pool area with lounge seats, towels, helpful staff. The curry in the restaurant was really good. We decided to stay longer to enjoy this hotel, a relief after running from some other hotels that get good ratings at booking but are far below standards (tip: look at the 'most recent' reviews, if there are few, then don't go. That one good review from months ago probably doesn't count)

It is out of town. We like trying different restaurants but there aren’t others nearby so a bit of a mission to get to other restaurants.

Nice hotel with amazing pool. The food and breakfast was great! The room was new and amazing, it was on the first floor and had 2 chairs to sit outside as well.
