Such a brilliant stay! The view, the staff and the breakfast were amazing! Dinesh and his colleagues couldn’t do enough for you, we booked a trip with them to the Nine Arch Bridge and the Waterfall highly recommended! One of our best stay in Sri Lanka so far, would definitely return.

All the people working there made us instantly feel amazing! They were so nice and kind to us! The view is great! In the dining area you can observe the endemic hornbill, the giant squirrel and many more animals! We will definitely be back!

There was nothing that we didn't really like, I would just be aware that there are around 15-20 steps down to the hotel and therefore if you are unable to go up or down stairs then this may not be for you however the owners may have another access that we did not know about.

First thing to memtion was that there is only one word for the view from this place - incredible. It really does look like the pictures. The location is also great, a short 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the main street. One of the great things here is the staff are all nice however a special mention and thanks has to go to Prianta. He was always very happy and smiling and was a mine of good information on where to go and what to see. He always tried to help and accomodate us and for that we are grateful. If you decide to eat at the hotel I would highly recommemd the rotti/roll, it was easily one of the best thinga we had in Sri Lanka. The room was also very comfortable with a good shower, mosquito nets and amazing views over the valleys. There was no AC however at this elevation there was no need for it. If you need it, the hotel can also arrange trips to see the main things around Ella and can give you a TukTuk ride to the centre for a small fee. Overall, a highly enjoyable stay and would definately recommend it to others if staying in Ella.

It would be even better if there was somewhere to hang clothes/put them away (in our room there was not, maybe in others). A towel refresh and the bed being made every other day would be a bonus too. Just a heads up that you need to pay in cash (not a big issue as there’s lots of ATMs in town a short ride away).

Favourite things: The food, Priyantha and the rest of the staff were so attentive and the meals were so delicious that we ended up eating in all three nights (which we wouldn’t normally do!). The view is breathtaking and our balcony was spacious enough for me to do some morning yoga in front of it which I loved. We felt very well looked after.

Not a bad thing but was very up high in the mountain so in the dark we got a tuk tuk. (But without the location the view wouldn’t be as good)

For the price we paid, nothing. Definitely worth it

The view is INCREDIBLE. There are lots of amazing bird species flying around the balconies and monkeys and squirrels come to visit as well. The staff are lovely and were around to help us plan our days in Ella. The free breakfast is huge and one day they even made us sandwiches to take to a sunrise hike so we didn’t miss out. The beds were really comfortable and we were surprised with how nice our room was. It’s a bit of a walk into ella but it’s really fun. You walk through all these little windy stairs that weave through houses down the mountain. You couldn’t be closer to Ella and still have this view though so it’s worth it. Tuk tuks available if you don’t want to take the stairs.

Beautiful inside and out! Cosy and good temperature. Most beautiful view I’ve ever seen. The staff were very helpful and nice, and took you into town on a moment’s notice for a fair price. Very quiet, nice to be a bit out of Ella town for the view and peace but close enough to all the shops and restaurants

The property looks down a valley between 2 mountains and the views go to eternity. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We arrived after dark and soaked wet. Priyantha and Dinesh took great care of us. The breakfast was lovely, with fruits, eggs, tea/coffee, breads.

Access to the property requires taking a narrow and steep single lane road for 50m and then walking down around 30 steps.But the views and the management more than make up for this minor inconvenience. Shower pressure could have been better

Amazing views. One could also watch sunrise from the room itself. The property has limited number of rooms but all rooms.have very good view. Very peaceful and close to nature. We managed to see a gray hornbill while having breakfast here. We were vegetarians and they went out of their way to prepare tasty dinner and breakfast. Very helpful and polite management. Highly recommend.

I got what I was expecting and have nothing to dislike...

The waterfall and surrounding views are unlike anywhere in the world. Its unique, quiet and well maintained property. Owner is fantastic and the entire staff is always eager to help and provide fantastic food and service. Can't say enough good things about it here. So good, I came back for a second 3 night stay.. aaaaaand that waterfall.... OMG

THE VIEW! This amazing view is what you come to Ella for. The staff is also amazing and will make your stay even better. A delicious breakfast every morning with those views is just great. Bed was comfortable.

We had the most amazing stay, don't bother looking for anywhere else in Ella - this is the place to stay! The rooms are really nice and clean and the view from the common room area is like a painting! I could not believe the balcony and what we could see from our room. You can sit and watch the clouds roll over the mountains and all of the wildlife. It is such a nice place to relax to have a common room area and the food at the in house restaurant is so delicious. Breakfast is really special, so so much food and the staff were so incredibly warm and welcoming. They have a TukTuk to hire for very reasonable prices to take you to Ella and will organise absolutely everything for you. We did a waterfall tour and the absolute best Ella Rock hike before sunrise - could not recommend more. The staff will do anything to make your stay comfortable and were unbelievably kind when I was unwell during my stay.
