We only had a very short stay to visit the rock, which is perfectly accessible on foot from the hotel. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and together with the great breakfast it was the ideal start for our adventure

Positive: -Welcome drinks when we arrived which were very nice -Beautiful view of the Lion Rock -Friendly staff who rented us a bike for 2 days -Very comfortable bed and spacious room -Construction work going on the second day we were there and they moved us to a bigger room free of charge which we appreciated Less Positive: -Breakfast was average. The second day was nice but the other two mornings were very average. -Shower was lukewarm -WiFi was inconsistent Nothing to do with the hotel but there is an elephant riding safari down the road from where we stayed. The poor elephant is chained up and was clearly in distress when we walked past him one of the nights. Very upsetting to see. Please do not ride elephants when coming to Sri Lanka, and instead visit an ethical elephant rehabilitation centre or safari. Thank you!

The only small improvement we’d suggest is to have darker curtains, as it gets quite bright as early as 6 AM. But that’s just a minor detail.

We booked the air-conditioned room and enjoyed a fantastic view of Lion’s Rock. The entire property is in a quiet location, giving off a very relaxing vibe. The owner was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Through him, we also booked a safari at a very fair price. The breakfast was absolutely fine—plentiful and satisfying. No complaints at all! A nice extra was that we were allowed to use the owner’s fridge to keep our own drinks cool. Overall, we would definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to come back!

Lovely accommodation with amazing views across to Sigirya. Good location, close to amenities but also nice and quiet. Loved having breakfast with the sun rising on the rice fields and the beautiful view. They got up earlier for us on our last morning so we could have breakfast before getting picked up by our transfer which we appreciated. They also arranged the transfer for us which was a big help.

We had a very comfortable room with a nice balcony (Lions Rock view). The homestay is located quite centrally but still close to nature. The host is amazing! He is always up for a chat and provided support e.g. information to public transport schedules, scooter rental, Safari tours, ... Would definitely book it again!

This place was a very nice suprise. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The views are amazing just in front of my room. It’s walking distance from restaurants. The staff is super nice and will do everything to make you comfortable. I would highly recommend this place.

We spent 2 nights in Sigi, at Kashyapa Kingdom View Home. The location is really good, just a 10’ walk from the rock & all the places you can reach in the village. The room was clean & had all the necessary. The breakfast was good & the staff were really kind. Also, the host was very kind & welcoming, made us feel like home. Can’t wait to go back someday!

Walking distance to restaurants, shops, bus stops, and to the Lion Rock. Quite spacious, comfortable room with nice small terrace with absolutely beautiful view on the Lion Rock. Breakfast could be traditional but it was tasty. Nice and helpful stuff.

We are two girls traveling Sri Lanka and we absolutely loved this stay in Sigiriya! It’s close to Pidurangala and Lions Rock and the Host was absolutely lovely. Service five star including Organisation of Transport and breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, looking right at lions rock. We would definitely recommend this place!

Nothing, it was perfect!

Everything was great. The hosts were incredibly friendly and a lovely family, they helped to organise a safari to the nearby Eco Park which was fantastic and also helped us with getting to Dambulla, organising a tuktuk that would look after our heavy backpacks and take us to the bus station to get to Kandy. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was great, the stay is in an amazing location and we would definitely come back! Thank you for everything :)

There was a couple of insect visitors. But it was fine.

We had a fabulous stay at Kashyapa Kingdom View Home. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. We also got our laundry washed here which was really great. The breakfast is basic. There is the most amazing view of Sigiriyia rock from the breakfast terrace. There is no option to have lunch/dinner here but the accomodation is a 5 min walk from Sigriyia road where all the resturaunts and bars are located.

Sigiriya was our favorite place in all of Sri Lanka, not only because of its incredible location but also because of this amazing accommodation. We would definitely return and stay here again! The view was absolutely stunning—the best you could ask for. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more special. This place truly made our experience in Sri Lanka unforgettable!

Nothing, it was a great stay.

This was the perfect stay, the room was big with a comfortable bed and working AC - plus the breakfast is generous and delicious. The best thing about the stay is the people - Dhanuske is a lovely person and so helpful, it makes it so easy to get tuktuk or taxi and any advice you need. We highly recommend Kashyapa Kingdom!

It advertised food and drinks available at the property, plus a communal fridge... This has now changed and not offered anymore... It's no big deal as there's plenty of local places... Just shouldn't have it on there if its not available anymore...

Views and location to lions rock were epic... Many little bars and restaurants within a 5 mins walk... Owner is the nicest chilled out guy... Check out Rastaurant... Epic place on the river with a cool 10 year old kid DJ!
