11. Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the ( lakshan view resort ) to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back! The service was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.

It is a super beautiful area that is in no way inferior to Haputale. It is also a lot less touristy, so you can really relax. You are surrounded by nature with squirrels, You look out over a beautiful valley. Ella is about 30-45 min. The staff is more than friendly and wants to do everything they can to help you: very friendly and competent staff + room with very good size. The space and the entire area were very clean slept very, very well.

Hotel Lakshani view resort is an exceptional choice to enjoy staying in a perfect place. It had everything we wished for, a panoramic view of the haputale town,a clean full occupied room and the best service. We had a great time staying here. The service was outstanding and we were really happy with how everything turned out. And special thanks to Lakshan, the owner. He has excellent customer service. We definitely recommend Lakshan view resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area!

Would have given this a 10 but while checking out, the owner wanted to 'see my booking', and then proceeded to fill in the review. Terrible.

When I arrived there were problems with my room and I couldn’t check-in at the check-in time that is said on booking. I got my room way later, I think at 16:00 or so. First he wanted to give me a room that was obviously not cleaned yet. I warned him to cancel and write a bad review and then he gave me a room that seemed cleaned. It was weird. The owner made me feel a little uncomfortable as a young female solo traveller. He took fotos of me sitting on his terrace (which was ok for me but a bit weird) and also he tried to pressure me to write a good review on booking all the time I was there which I didn’t like at all. I always write honest reviews and I will write it whenever I want.

Hot water is available but had to try many times to make it work Pillows aren’t comfortable No soap in bathroom ( guess we need to request) It mentions breakfast included but no breakfast given No warning about checkout time so we had to pay extra than the price we booked

Staff didn’t speak English well and they were kind of rude and careless. Also it was hard to find them at times. Hotel is located next to the main road so you hear cars and dogs all night. I stayed only one night and then I switched to a slightly more expensive hotel with a great view and it was definitely worth it.

It’s a basic private room with a private toilet, and good WiFi. It was good value for money, but you get what you pay for. There are better hotels with amazing views for just a few extra dollars.
