Money is missing from backpacs for many people many times. Also on google reviews you can check this fact.

Location and vibe is great but many guests looing money from their bags in the room for years now. Still no camera so someone keeps taking it from the staff. Why else no security cameras then?

THEY STOLE MY AND MY FRIEND MONEY Me and other girls from my room went for the waterfall for whole day. When we came back I realized that and I don’t have 200$ and someone was on my bed, because my things were moved. I asked a friend who was at the same room, if she has everything and she also didn’t have her money (10000 Indian rupees). The guy who worked at that day knew that we are gonna be outside for a day and he asked us which bed is ours, before we left (that was really weird!). I extended one more night and I gave him 5000rupees and he didn’t have the change (I read on the reviews that it also happened before, they hope you will forget about the money?? When we told this guy our money was stolen, he acted really weird, due to his body language I can say he was really nervous and he suddenly forgot how to speak English, he was staring at the floor, he couldn’t make any eye contact (you can see his photo on google reviews). I’m really disappointed with this situation. I don’t recommend!!! It’s better to find another place for that price

I had a very strange experience with the man working there - on the day of my arrival he didn't have a change for 5000lkr, so I said to him that I will change it in the restaurant and bring later. He insisted that I pay and he gives me change later. Okay fair enough, no problem.But when I was leaving next day in the morning he still didn't have the change and he got all weird about it, wanted ME to change the 5000lkr. I was in the rush to meet my friends and catch a bus and this made the entire morning very stressed. I was not planning to write anything, as I don't like to spread the negativity, but an hour later I got a notification from booking.com that my booking was cancelled by the hostel, because I NEVER CHECKED IN? This made me think that there is really something not okay about this man, so just be careful please.

Overall hostel vibes are very chill and the place is very artsy.

we couldn't go there because when we arrived to drop off our suitcases after the reservation made the day before, we called the owner several times who told us that his brother would arrive in 40 minutes, we waited and so he call back so they tell us again to wait 20 minutes so we left.

There are no doors, but I guess for 5$ it’s still an awsome hostel!

The guy that lives there is very kind and is always happy to help you. He was cooking us the breakfast all the mornings. There is hot water.

There aren’t any lockers and the privacy isn’t 100% as people come to the rooms and just leave the door open for anyone to see you

The place is clean and spacious, the ambiance is nice and easy to meet people during breakfast The staff is nice and helpful The breakfast is big and tasty and everyday it’s a different fruit so that’s incredible The location is close to many restaurants and they have their own little restaurant
