    A cozy and remote place

The place is unique, surrounded by water and greenery. The house is made of wood and very cosy. The owner is a charming woman, who was always there to help. It wasn't difficult to get around from there too, though it felt very remote and serene. The weather was cool and rainy so it really was chilly in the evenings and nights, but we had more than enough blankets to sleep comfortably. It was a very special stay for us!

The owner (Sandy) is the sweetest person we met in our trip. She got us some welcome tea, and offered to cook dinner for us. The house is really well put together, a sweet little cabin in the woods, we felt really cozy and 'at home'

The kindness of the host (really good cooker), quiet place, good bed, the sound of water with the small river just next to the log, you can go by walk to Pedro tea factory and enjoy the tea fields view.

    Nothing

The property is such a little gem! A little (not so little) wood cabin in the nature. There’s a stream of water just behind and it’s very relaxing. The cabin is very comfortable, offers two double rooms downstairs and one upstairs. There a kitchenette, a fridge and even a hair dryer! All the amenities really. The owner is a fantastic lady! She is very nice and helpful and her garden is magnificent

This property is very cute and cozy, and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The owner and her son were so kind in helping us hire a tuk tuk and gave us ideas for what to do in the area. Highly recommend!!!

Slightly cold, not great insulation (a feature of the beautiful log construction).

Beautiful location with a lush garden kept by our lovely host. She was waiting for our arrival and was very sweet. Mosquitoes were vicious, be smart and use the provided netting.

This is about the town not our cabin but nuwara eliya can get chilly we being from Chicago where our winters get to -20c thought 70/60 would not be an issue but bring weather gear and warm clothes for night.

The location outside nuwara eliya is perfect if you want to be out of the city. The cabin is three bedrooms very large would be great for a family or group. The host was very kind and helpful with any questions or concerns. She provided us extra blankets as we underestimated the weather in nuwara eliya. The meals she made were delicious and healthy.

This is the biggest surprise in my many years of traveling around all the countries of the world. the wonderful owner who made me feel like I was staying with my mother, took care of everything we needed. She cooked us a very tasty dinner and breakfast. I highly recommend this wonderful family to everyone. The accommodation resembles a mountain shelter, which additionally adds to the magic of this place. I definitely recommend it to everyone. I fell in love with this place

The wooden cabin as expected is not fully sealed from outside hence can get quite cold at night.

Beautiful location, calm and quiet with a small Stream running along side. Close to nature. For thoes who love nature and being close to it this is a great place. Close to town makes it even better. Thumbs up. We will go again.

Its not necessarily a bad thing, but you should keep in mind that the shower head is hanging right over the toilet so it gets quite wet there of course. On the bright side it did have hot water.

As authentic as it can be. Little paradise. Beds are super comfortable, host is super friendly. Just 5 min drive away from the town. The sound of little river right by it was our lullaby. Definitely recommended.

I have never had to leave a bad review for a property (and this review could be worse) but I will give the host the benefit of the doubt and would like to leave some friendly tips instead: - We arrived at the property during a power cut, and as stated the host provided us with a candle and portable light bulb but this was the only time we heard from her until we were loading up our van to leave in the morning. It would have been nice if she had dropped in after the power had come back to check that everything was okay. - The biggest issue we had with the property was how EXTREMELY cold it was. The blankets provided were not enough (possibly because it is January and not a summer month). The property absolutely needs some form of insulation or electric heaters. We barely got any sleep because of how cold it was, and all of us were layered up in addition to using the blankets. - The bedding and blankets need to be washed regularly. Everything had a musty smell, including the pillows. We tried to tell the host about the pillows in the morning but she denied that they were not clean (which is another reason why I’m having to write my feedback in this review rather than providing it directly to the host for their own improvement). My mum had taken the pillow case off to check why the pillow smelt, and found around 6 pillow covers on the pillow. Adding more covers will not solve the problem. The pillows need to be replaced or washed. - The property needs a deep clean after each guest visits. For example, the dining room table was filthy. - The facilities could be improved a lot. A handheld electric coil was left with a jug to be used as a kettle. Please replace this with a modern kettle, as the old handheld coils are a huge fire risk and could also cause burns. Also, non-Sri Lankans are very unlikely to know how to use this. - Some tea, coffee and sugar wouldn’t go amiss.

    - The bathroom was built well and had hot water. - The host had left a candle and provided us with a portable light bulb when we arrived during a power cut. - Fresh flowers had been left in various places in the property which were a nice little touch. - Bathroom flip flops were provided which was helpful when the floors were wet. - Half a bar of new soap was left in the bathroom, but liquid hand wash may be more economical and is also more hygienic.
