What a great place to stay! The room was large, the place was very clean and quiet, good WiFi and hot water and great food. The best part was the staff- the owner has a few properties and we stayed at Amma’s Homestay. The family there was so lovely, bringing us tea and juice and just pleasant people to talk with. Highly recommend!

The room was clean. Host was really nice and helpful. He organised great safari for us. Our driver's name was Sumudu- I really recommend this guy. He knows a lot about safari and we enjoyed it. Apart from that we had delicious dinner and breakfast in this price. I really recommend this place!

It is a wonderful family-run guesthouse with a warm welcome with coffee and tea. The room and bathroom are very clean and nicely decorated, the garden with veranda is enchanting. The taxi service from Ella was also great in terms of price and on time.  The Udawalawe safari was organized hassle free, the driver was also excellent. The next time I visit the national park I will make sure not to choose a rainy day, as the photos won't be so good. However, there were plenty of elephants to admire, birds, wild boars, and crocodiles. Thank you very much, and I highly recommend it.

Amazing value for money! The food is simply amazing and freshly cooked by the wive of the host - big portions and extremely nice presentation! Location is good - 15 min drive to the entrance of the national park. The safari organized by the host was better then we could have ever expected and our highlight was the jeep driver who is a neighbour of the host! His English was perfect and he explained everything we saw very detailed! Would definitely recommend this homestay!

One of our most luxurious stays. Very friendly and communicative owner (Dim) who was happy to answer any of our questions and make arrangements for our safari needs. We had our own cottage with patio and outdoor bathroom. Breakfast wasn't the best we've had, but lunch and dinner were delicious. Our safari in Udawalawe park was a great experience, Dim arranged a very friendly driver for us who was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals.

It was quite a walk from most of restaurants and shops which bothered us a bit as we stayed 2 nights but it’s not an issue if you only come for the safari:) the owner will provide you with everything you need

We booked a room with a balcony but there was no such thing.

The accommodation is located within walking distance from the elephant orphanage. We did the 6-hour safari package with breakfast lunch and dinner included. (Which we were happy with as there are very limited options available for food in town). The host is super friendly and we loved the food presentation. Good value for money.

The room was amazing value. Dimu was super friendly & helpfull with everything we needed. We left our shoes outside at night and he secured them from the dogs. Let us hang up our laundry and so on. All in all it was a great stay with the best room we had so far in Sri Lanka for the best price and the water was actually warm.

We had a wonderful stay here. Dimu was a super host, so kind and helpful and the food was delicious too. He organised our jeep safari for us and we can really recommend this. Our driver was very knowledgeable and thoughtful towards the animals as well. When our Uber taxi cancelled and left us stuck trying to get to our next destination, Dimu helped us sort some other transport. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. It is very new and clean and a lovely place to stay. There is a communal lounge, an outdoor seating area downstairs for breakfast and we were served our dinner on the upstairs veranda which was lovely too.

The hotel was clean and the bed super comfy. They served every morning Sri Lankan breakfast and tea. The owner of the hotel also owns a Safari Jeep and organized for us a Safari to the Udawalawa National Park. We liked staying here and definitely recommend this place.

a very clean and new hotel, even the films still remained in some places for transportation. the owner is a kind and unobtrusive young man, did not bother with additional services. the breakfast is very hearty, there are kitchen options to choose from.
