Nice View Lodge is an absolute gem. The rooms are fantastic, Udika the host could not be more helpful, and the breakfast is the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka.

nothing, it was just wonderful. just be aware there is a house being built in the garden, though there was no construction noise.

location is fabulous in Udika’s beautiful garden with a great view of the rock. spotless, modern room. fantastic breakfast. Birds and mongeese in garden. Udika is delightful and very self-effacing. extraordinarily good value for money. Nice hotel with restaurant and bar next door.

This is a lovely place to stay in Sigiriya. The room is spacious and clean and very well kept, the garden is beautiful with a feeling place for the birds and a large variety of plants. There is a veranda in front of the room as well as hammocks to relax. Udith was so very helpful with everything including organising a scooter and giving me good tips on where to go in the surroundings. Coming out onto the road that leads to the place there is a wonderful view towards Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock. There are restaurants within walking distance.

Super friendly host, very nice accommodation (probably our most luxurious in Sri Lanka for this price range), good breakfast, can borrow a scooter for fair extra cost to get around.

We have rarely had accommodation with such a beautiful garden. You can see that it has been created and cared for with a lot of love by the family. This may also be the reason why many animals like to stay here and can be observed. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and Udika, our host, was very lovely. He also prepared one of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka, which we were allowed to eat in his beautiful garden.

There are only 2 rooms available and they are very clean and cosy. Warm water and toletries available too. The landrot is very nice and helped us with organizing safari, transfers and scooter. He welcomed us with fresh coconut. The beakfast was diffent every morning, we tried a lot of local specialities.

Nice View Lodge is five minutes off the main street of Sigiriya which means it’s not recommended to walk back at night due to the dark. However, the host picked us up by tuk tuk each evening after dinner free of charge so this was not an issue at all.

Nice View Lodge was the best place to stay to begin our journey in Sri Lanka. The host sent a lovely driver to us at the airport which we then kept for the first five nights of our trip. We stayed for three nights and the host was always available to help, gave recommendations, organised our transport and even picked us up from dinner each night when we went out to eat (free of charge). The room was clean and air conditioned and the host cooked us a beautiful breakfast each morning, each one different! View of Lions rock on your doorstep.

Udika the owner was just the lovilest person. His hospitality and facitiles were brilliant. We tried out some Sri lanken food for breakfast made my udika which was a lovely touch. The room was clean and well presented. The lodge is located which seems far out but only a short walk to the local shops/restaurant. And about 20 mins walk to lions rock. The view of lions rock from the lodge is amazing. The lodge is set is a beautiful scenery with lots of butterflies, peacock, flowers, greeny and even a snake we seen

We had a wonderful stay here. The room comes with a little terrace and the garden is beautiful! Clean rooms with A/C and delicous Sri lankan breakfast included. The host was so nice, he even came to pick us up at the restaurant at night. Quiet location away from the city but nice restaurants just a few minutes away (Kenoli is a must do, best sri lakan curry we had so far). We can definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Fantastic place where I particularly particularly loved the terrace, the magnificent garden (so many species of plants, birds and animals!) and the breakfast. You will never find a better and more service minded host than Udika. Always smiling and singing. A truly happy place to stay. Walking distance to the centre ant to the Lion Rock, but not recommended walking about in the dark due to the wildlife.

Super clean and pretty room, comfy beds, ac, little terrace in front of the room. Beautiful garden with hammocks and lots of plants, very well maintained. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and outstanding host! Would definitely recommend, restaurants just a few minutes walk away, quiet location.

we felt very welcome! the host Udika was so nice - he organized everything for us (tuktuks, safari!). he even offered to pick us up at night if we don’t feel save walking home. the room was very clean and we felt comfortable. the breakfast was good. we recommend having a nap in the hammocks in front of the rooms.

Away from the city and nearby to Sigiriya Rock. Nature lovers must visit. Host is very friendly and helpful. Free Tuk Tuk till the Sigiriya Rock was provided. Rooms are new. Worth for money 💰

Lovely garden around the house, made us feel like being in the jungle. Clean and nice room, with A/C and mosquito net. Extremely kind and helpful host, in case you need he will arrange transportation services at good price. Nice breakfast included, very abundant. The way to the hotels gives you a lovely view on the lions rock! We can definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The host was responsive and helpful, assisted us with arranging transfers and different trips, took us to the Sigiriya Rock and brought us back!!! The breakfast was delicious and with variety of food and fruits, every day different food was provided. The villa is surrounded by flowers and tropical plants, very nice garden. Highly recommended!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Udika was definitely the nicest host we have ever had. He was very helpful as he organized many things to a cheap price for us (taxi, safari,…), drove us with his Tuk-Tuk, gave us tips and helped us with all our problems (e.g. with the booking of the next apartment). The breakfast was a broad variety of local food and it was very delicious. Everything was very clean and the accommodation was located in a beautiful place in the nature. We really enjoyed our time in Sigiriya thanks to Udika and we recommend the accommodation to everybody who wants to visit Sigiriya.

The whole place was really beautiful, especially the garden, in which we felt like being in the jungle! It is really quiet, clean and comfortable! The host was really nice, Udika made our stay as good as possible. It was our very first stay after coming from the airport and we were welcomed with a fresh king coconut! The typical Sri Lankan breakfast was also delicious with a large variety of sweet and savoury dishes! The hosts also organised us a TukTuk for a visit of the Pidurangala rock for sunrise and a day trip to Pollonaruwa.
