Location is about 10-15 minutes outside of Marissa, easy walk and felt safe at all times of the day. From the hotel can walk along the beach through a trail to Coconut Hill; along the way there are some beautiful secluded spots to watch the sunset. Room was on the smaller side but had nice private balcony, everything was clean, toiletries provided. Filtered water available. Delicious breakfast - western or Sri Lankan.

What a lovely hotel in the quieter end of Mirissa, lovely facilities great breakfast and lovely hosts. The room was exactly what we needed and a beautiful rooftop to watch the world go by.

Fantastic location on the beach. We were able to walk the whole way along the shore to Coconut Tree Hill and continue onto Turtle Beach, and then Mirissa Beach. The room was comfortable and had a nice balcony. Staff were great and went out of their way to help. Great value for money.

This was THE best accommodation of our trip. The owner was really nice, helpful, he did everything possible for us. The whole hotel was beautiful and our room? I slept like a princess. Food delicious, when we had an early trip outside, they gave us food package. Dinner was also really nice. Everything was clean, beautiful view at ocean. Definitely would go here again.

It was a little bit off from town and beaches, you can't swim at the beach by the hotel because of the dead coralls and stones.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful place. Large, modern, clean and comfortable rooms. We had a nice balcony with amazing ocean view. Food was really good includes big and tasty breakfast. Stuff were super helpful and nice! We would love to come back.

Be aware that this is about a 25 walk (or short/cheap Tuk Tuk ride on PickMe) from the main beach and town area of Mirissa. While you can get to the sea just by the hotel, at mid - high tide the sea is right up and it's not really possible to walk towards the town so you'll need to go up to and along the main road. But that does mean it's quieter and it was no inconvenience to us at all.

A bit out of town (which is why we chose it), this is a lovely, friendly, quiet place with very comfortable rooms, a great roof terrace, and a small pool on the ground floor for cooling off in. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Added bonus, where you can get to the sea just by the property, adults turtles were feeding just by the shore. We were told they turn up there everyday about 4/5pm so it may be worth a look (though see below about limited access for walking on the beach there ... which may be why the turtles are such regular guests!)

Wonderful Stay Near Coconut Tree Hill We had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse! The location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Coconut Tree Hill. The hosts were incredibly attentive and always available when needed, making us feel very welcome. The room was perfect for our needs—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. We also had dinner there one evening, which was equally tasty. While the beachfront has rocks instead of sand, this wasn’t an issue as beautiful sandy beaches were just a 15-minute walk away. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this guesthouse!

PearlDrop Waves is an amazing find for anyone who is looking at experiencing Mirissa and Sri Lankan hospitality without hurting the wallet. The sea view from the rooms is really nice and each room has a balcony. The staff led by Aerang is super friendly and helpful. Cook’s Sri Lankan preparations are extraordinary and authentic. The kitchen packed us breakfast at 5:30 am because we would have missed breakfast. The property has a nice pool with filtered water. Walk to the Secret Beach is just 50 m. The rooftop also has a great view of the beach and sunbathing seats.

The photographs of the hotel on the website were misleading, taken from the top floor room showing a sea view. We had a limited view of the sea and the beach within walking distance is not suitable, just very large rocks to climb over. Best beaches are in Mirissa.

The manager was very helpful and could organise anything we were interested in visiting, he arranged our Whale boat trip as soon as we arrived at a reasonable cost, which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was good western style with eggs, toast & fresh fruit. The bed was very comfortable & air conditioning worked well and so did the wifi. There was always a tuk tuk ready to take us into Mirissa where there was an abundance of places to eat on the beach. The sea food was so fresh, The Salt restaurant had the best fish we’ve tasted in Sri Lanka.
