Everything was perfect. Just in front of the sea, you can hear the waves when you’re going to sleep. Quiet, far enough away from the centre to be peaceful but close enough to walk to everything you need. The staff were very helpful, can give you lots of advice and the food is fantastic

Literally nothing!

Totally our nr. 1 during our trip around Sri Lanka! Brand new hotel, with extremely nice stuff and owner. Coconut water as a welcome drink was more than appreciated. Rooms are very nice equipped, showers gels, coffee, tea etc. View from the rooftop was amazing. Hot water, fast wifi was an additionall advantage. Breakfast was extremely tasty and big.

We simply hope you can find a room at this property as it has been our Sri Lanka trip's highlight. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The food is the best we had in the country, and we ate almost every single meal at the hotel (we are foodies who search for the best restaurants - and this is it in Mirissa). Rooms are very clean, nice views of the ocean and spacious. The location is great, you can walk by the ocean and reach the Coconut Tree Hill in 5mins. Best beaches are a walking distance as well. Also it is on a quieter side of town, so that your sleep will not get interrupted by noise.

The wifi in the room is minimal, and the location is still a 15 mins walk (or 5 min tuktuk ride) from most of the restaurants/beach/bars along a heavy-traffic road.

The rooms with (shared) balcony are large and clean, with especially the bathroom being very comfortable with warm water. The breakfast is delicious and the host is very accommodating in any requests.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the main road and just 3 minutes from the beach. Although there's no easy entry to the sea, the hotel boasts exceptional cleanliness. The highlight is the breathtaking view from the rooms and the delectable food served. Additionally, the staff can secure the best deals for any trips you wish to book with the best rates .

It would be nice to have a television or maybe some books available. For a light sleeper like myself the sound of the wind and sea was troublesome but most people would not be affected I guess.

Eranga is an excellent host. Friendly and accommodating. The dinner was a veritable feast and the packed breakfast for our early start was a bonus. The hotel is very clean and the room adequate for a one night stay. Eranga arranged a tuk tuk for our morning journey and told us the price to pay which helped as the driver tried to charge more.

Personally I would have appreciated more possibilites to hand my towels, clothes and stuff.

The hotel is located just a short walk away from the noisy and busy main road. Still u can reach Mirissa town by one of the free bycicles he provide, by bus, tuk tuk or even by 20 min by feet. There are also small village shops along the main road and a few juice bars. It is a very new and well maintained place with a small pool and a very nice rooftop. Which I enjoyed a lot for sunbathing without getting harrassed all the time as it would have been at the beach. Rooms are nice, airy, clean and equipped with all necessary stuff. The bed comes with a mosquito net and u can see the sea from your bed if you stay at the second floor. Bathroom was nice and the water pressure was really good. The breakfast delicious and the varies during your stay, so u dont get bored by eating alsways the same. U can also choose between western and sri lankan option. The place does also provide snacks and dinner. Because I was meeting friends for dinner mostly of the time, I didnt have the chance to try it. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful and they always had a smile on their face. They also help u arranging scooter rental, airport transfer and will always give advice how to get around. What I really loved was that they provided free bycicles and snorkeling equipment.

The wifi can be a bit patchy in the rooms but this is easily remedied by going up to the rooftop.

The hotel is brand new and boasts amazing views of the ocean from the room and the rooftop. Everything was spotlessly clean and we really enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was the best we've had in our 2 weeks of travelling in Sri Lanka. All staff were really friendly and helpful.

Erengue and his crew are very friendly people. The sri lankan breakfast was exceptional. We also got snorkeling equipment & yoga mats for free so we could stretch after the surfsession or explore sea life. The rooms were very big, clean and everything was very new.

PearlDrop Waves Hotel exceeded all expectations, earning a solid 10/10 in my book. The stay was incredibly enjoyable, thanks to the accommodating and friendly staff who made every moment memorable. Wifi was spotty but if you don't work online it's ok.

The room was spotless, with new bedsheets, pillows, and fresh towels, not every place in Sri Lanka is like that. The view from the room is amazing, nice rooftop with the view.

For me, the water and fresh juices tasted funny so i ended up sticking to bottled water I bought outside. The location is good because it's close to plenty of other things and almost on the beach, but it is down a winding lane which can be tricky to navigate in the dark. We used the torch on our phones to light the way though and spotted a few fireflies on the way. It was manageable but just something to consider if you have any mobility issues.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 101. We were greeted with a welcome drink and check in was smooth and easy. I was a bit paranoid coming here but chose it on the basis of the other reviews. The room was absolutely spotless and super fresh. We had stayed in 2 large villas in different areas before coming here and this was the cleanest and freshest smelling place we stayed in (I'm very sensitive to smells, dirt, bugs etc). It came with toiletries, mini fridge and mosquito net round the bed. The balcony was lovely with some great (although slightly interupted) sea views. If you're sitting out at night though I'd recommend keeping the outdoor lights off as they attract a hefty mosquito population. We also shared the balcony with some lovely wee geckos 😁 The manager and staff were very helpful, recommending a local spa (which was a bit grim inside but gave a cracking massage). They also advised us that they could spot whales from their rooftop terrace (unfortunately we missed them, ironically being on a fruitless whale watching trip at the time). However, the terrace has stunning views and we got up early to catch the sunrise there. On our departure, we didn't have cash and had to go to an atm, the manager walked up to the main road to meet us so we didn't have to come all the way back down. Excellent service. All in all we were very happy with our stay.

A gorgeous recently renovated hotel, the pictures do not do it justice especially for the price. We actually extended two more nights as we were so happy with it. Huge clean rooms with a comfy bed, good A/C, decent WI-FI and balcony space overlooking the sea. The guys who work there are so genuine, super friendly and a real credit to the hotel, they really just want to make sure you have the best stay possible. They had thought of extras like games and snorkels to be used communally which was a lovely touch. Fresh cooked breakfast by the pool each morning which was tailored to what we fancied each day either Sri Lankan or Western. Also a really great parking area which was perfect as we had a rental tuktuk. Walkable into Mirissa and the coconut hill. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

The place is in a great location, close to the beach and the city. The host was very kind and helpful, he made us a great Srí Lankan dinner and breakfast. Rooms are excellent! Peacefull place for rest and enjoy Mirissa! We want to come back!
