Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. United KingdomThe hotel and rooms (particularly the one I had) need a thorough clean and maybe if staff was wearing clean clothes (or some sort of uniform) it would be like a massive turn-around. I had ants in the room and asked for this to be sorted but nothing was done. Not sure how to feel about staff walking around bare foot (and I understand this is something you will see a lot in Sri Lanka and India outside) in a hotel.
The staff was kind and doing their best but English was initially a problem (the Managers did help, however, once staff called them). The female manager was really kind and helped me with the Uber drivers struggling with traffic and finding the hotel. Breakfast was ok but again, it did not feel clean.

SwitzerlandThe room had no window, except for one facing the corridor, which might not be ideal for everyone. No restaurants next door at night, though we found two restaurants 5-7 min walk away from the hotel.
We stayed here for one night after our flight before heading south, and it was a good choice. The staff was very kind and helpful (thank you ! 🙏), making our stay easy and comfortable. Clean , basic room with a nice bathroom. The hotel has an elevator—great for convenience. The spacious lobby added to the welcoming atmosphere. The location was good , especially being near the railway station for the next day travel. Just outside the door, you’ll find lively street life and a market, giving you a real feel of the city. Breakfast was good and provided a nice start to the day!

Great location for walking to a lot of the places we were interested in going to. Near Pettah markets, and a simple walk to Colombo Fort train station. Room was clean, comfortable, perfect for a three night stay.

I was looking for accommodation that would recharge my batteries after the long journey. The hotel is centrally located and, upon request, there was also a vegan option. The two hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful. The cool receptionist in particular is a gem of the accommodation.
