Unfortunately there were quite a few things: - You can hear EVERYTHING as if the windows were open (train tracks close by, frequent honking, dogs barking at night, loud music on the first night, super loud insects) - the curtains are very translucent so that I was absolutely unable to sleep after sunrise around 6am - there was a considerable gap under the door so that all kind of critters could get jn - including a very big spider in the bathroom - as stated in some other reviews before: dinner at the restaurant is really not good - just fyi: the path to the accommodation is no fun at night (no lights whatsoever)

Location was great for getting into Ella town centre (400/500rp tuk tuk or 10 minute walk). Good starting point for hike up Ella rock. Nice to have the pool for a morning dip to wake up.

We had heard about a short cut from Ella Village/Train Station to the hotel. We got it wrong when we wanted to walk from the station to the hotel. Might be helpful to post a map for people who walk.

Very nice view, very nice people and very nice price. The rooms are very spacious and the view is amazing. The pool is nice and the restaurant facilities are also really good. This absolutely very good value for your money. Actually we had a birthday during our stay and the lovely staff prepared birthday decorations. That was really nice.

Pool was out of order (cleaning) we were going there. Toilet flush doesn't work well, but we figure it out. we took the clothes to the laundry and asked for it the next night if it's ready. Reception told it would be ready in 10 minutes. we waited almost an hour and went to ask again and they still said it would take 10 minutes. eventually the laundry was brought into the room after a long wait.

Our room (102) was dated with no fridge, air con, or chair in the room. It’s a walk up the hill to enter, the car cannot reach the last part. Friendly and helpful staff.

Tremendous views of the valley around Ella. Pool was clean and fresh. Breakfast was varied Sri Lankan food and delicious. Make sure you find the 5 minute short cut to walk to town. Well worth it.

Amazing views down through the valley. The staff were really nice and helpful. Everything was very clean - bedrooms and pool etc. The overall environment was very nice. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with a great variety of fruit, eggs, waffles, cereal, iced coffee and much more! Short walk in to Ella town. We really enjoyed this little treat of a spot, it’s slightly more expensive than places around but very worth it. Felt like a luxury stay in Sri Lanka.

I thought the breakfast was pretty bad, I expected much better.

Sometimes, the staff in the dining/kitchen area can get too noicy, and thus distrurbing the gurst experience in the floors above.

No hot water left at night, older room small defect (manager responded right away and promised to fix it before new guests would arrive) The beautiful location has a small downside, land steep walk from city center, advise to get a tuktuk vor no more than 500

The views are fantastic! Best ever! Rooms on the upper levels are super spacious and overlook the entire valley. Lower rooms at the pool are older and smaller. Pool very nice to cool down, not huge, but big enough. Breakfast best we had so far in Sri-Lanka, many fruits, eggs, omelets, yohgurt and GREAT COFFEE (very hard to find in Sri Lanka)
