The place is just 5 min walking from the city center, breakfast was really good. Beautiful and charming place in Ella. Rooms were spacious and clean with so pretty views from the mountains and the ravana waterfalls. The personal was really helpful. I would definitely book it again.

Amazing stay in Ella! The property is big and spacious, as are the rooms. The best thing is the view, which you can see from your balcony, the pool and even from your bed if you open up the curtains. It’s a 3 minute tuktuk drive to the main Street in Ella and if you are up for a 8 minute walk, there is a shortcut stairs that you can take when you walk down the road. The staff is super helpful and friendly and we would definitely come back to this place :)

The breakfast could be better.

This place is amazing, the location is priceless,basically you may see all the Ella landmarks from your balcony, is a 5 minutes ride from the town Center( tuk tuk price 500 rupees) or five minutes walk ( there is a short cut) . In terms of room and facilities probably the best that we had in Sri Lanka ( we always reserved the same range hotels). Very clean and comfortable place, I will came back there for sure just to stay and the hotel and relaxe.

For the price you pay nothing can be complained about.

We stayed half board. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff were exceptional, so friendly, engaging with the kids and totally spoilt them with milkshakes and lollies…happy kids = happy parents!! Rooms were so big, yes they are a little dated but for the price we paid it represented excellent value. Our favourite thing was the pool….the view of the mountains and jungle from the pool was just incredible. We stayed in five star resorts and cheap basic places during our trip around Sri Lanka and as a family this hotel is the one that sticks in our head the most, we all loved it.

Location can only be safely reached by foot or tuk-tuk. There is no space for a car to turn around as the road is very steep and narrow. Guests have to pay for a tuk-tuk to transport them to and from the top of the road. Not sure if this is clearly communicated to guests. When our driver (who had been to the hotel several times) phoned the reception to ask for a tuk-tuk, because the car could not get down safely, the person at reception abruptly hung up. We had to organise our own from town. The person at reception was not welcoming, and everything seemed to be an effort. Luckily, someone did help us carry our luggage up to the room. Stairs and steps in general are steep (mix of wood and concrete) and not suitable for everyone. Noise carries from train lines and other guests. We had a triple room booked. Only 1 towel was provided. We had to ask for 2 extra towels, a hand towel, and a bath mat. Bathroom and shower had nowhere to put toiletries, so we had to put everything on the floor. The toilet roll holder was broken, so it could not be used. The sink drain hole was missing the cover. Bar fridge power outlet was an electrical fire hazard, which we reported. Only one power outlet was working to charge devices. There was only 1 chair and a table in a room for 3 people. The restaurant menu had very few actual available items. The only television is in the restaurant. There was a guest feedback sheet, but the pencil provided had no nib! Very poorly maintained facilities and very disappointing experience despite the beautiful views.

It would be good to have more power points (Sockets outlets) for plugs with the rectangular pins. It would be good to have the shower area separated with a curtain maybe.

Very friendly staff. Ella is a bit expensive compared to other parts of Sri Lanka, however, the facilities were quite decent for the price I paid. The food was good. Easy access to local shops and tourist attractions.

We had to pay cash and this wasn’t mentioned until after we had checked in. The breakfast wasn’t the best. It was overpriced for what was offered. There is a huge hill that you have to walk up/down that isn’t really mentioned. Cars can’t get to it so you need a tuk tuk for your bags. They had painted the stand while attached to the wall so looked like brown water stains on the wall. Few cosmetic touches and could be a good place.

The view was amazing. Shower pressure was fabulous.

The most amazing magical place to stay.. It was only a short one night stay for us, if we had more time we would of loved to have stayed longer. The hotel was set in the most picturesque hill, with fantastic views of ella rock. Our room was the biggest one we stayed in throughout our trip in Sri Lanka, more the size of a small apartment! Hot water in the bathroom, tea and coffee facilities and fridge with a mini bar. Breakfast was a lovely buffet and the staff were fantastic.. Highly recommend this place ☺️

The property is in on of the best location in Ella. 5 min walking on train tracks and you are at the bar area. Great view from hotel. Rooms very comfortable. Dinner super nice. One thing that really sticks out is the staff. Super friendly. They would do anything for the guests. Respect 🥰

We had a very lovely stay at the Ravana Range Ella. Beautiful place somewhat higher with a great view. The accommodation is located near the main street of Ella. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the swimming is a cool extra. We would recommend staying here.

Excelente accomodation in Ella. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is rich and tasty. Pool is nice and clean and the view is just amazing. 10/10 Location is very close to the center, if you follow the train rails you can reach it in 5 min.

Room air conditioning was not good; we needed some heat but were not able to increase the temperature as it was set up for 24 degrees centigrade over the stay. The maintenance boy came and checked it up and said that it would reach the desired temperature within a few minutes, but it did not happen. It was cold over the night. We booked 2 rooms, one was tiled, and the other was not. The breakfast buffet was not good as well. Not worth for money.
